Warren had a nice block for Pickens on the last drive, going back to his comments from a few weeks ago.
Pickens did have better effort in blocking and overall good body language. Then again, he was the focus of the passing game and made the most of basically every opportunity. You can tell this team is rallying right now and the effort is being stepped up from a lot of the guys we were complaining about several weeks ago.

The true test will be how he acts when he doesn't get targets/numbers. If he's hot and cold, forget it - just move him. Hoping for the opposite.

Meanwhile on the short out to Muth on the right side Dionte saw the ball wasn't going to him and just stood there kind of threw his arms out in frustration while his DB ran to tackle Muth.
Didn't even try to get in the way of his guy...then Seeing Muth break free he then ran down field to pretend to help and did nothing because it was too late. Some things don't change seems like. We've got some real brats on this team.

Two games later with an NFL level QB, League best numbers over 2 games.
I wasn't happy with his effort but understood why, he was in a position where he couldn't do his job because QB play has been so terrible his whole career.

The reporter lady who said he was going to have a tough time staying around in the nfl SHOULD 100% be eating crow. He put enough on tape in 2 games most teams would sign him despite any attitude concerns. Thats a fact

Not a single NFL GM wanted him due to his attitude / personality disorder During the draft. Many GM’s pre-draft said the ONLY coach that may have a chance to get through to the kid……. Was Mike Tomlin.
The same play of Pickens is also the same play that showed is handicap Earlier.
Many here want him to succeed, but also praise current but pointed out deficiency’s too.!
His attitude will hold his play back, football games take more than just throwing to one receiver.
He’s great when the tide is good, but when low tide creeps in………. Watch out.

100% agree. You could say that about 90% of the all time greats, TO, Antonio Brown, long list.
I think its painfully obvious the state of QB play was holding him back. Imagine if he had Mason throwing to him all season? Through 2 games he's on pace for 2700yds.
He has league best potential with an Elite QB IMO. I could be wrong but with the way he can catch and his ability to create yards after catch reminds me of an Antonio Brown. Guy just makes guys miss and gets to open field with great vision and anticipation. I didn't know he had that in his skillset.
Imagine Pickens with a prime Ben? Sky is the limit with this guy. He would be the hottest commodity on the open market after the past 2 performances.

Small sample size but I hear what you are saying. I do think Pickens is relying more on his talent than his work-ethic. Should that work ethic become a reality, then I’d agree that the sky is the limit.
ONE thing to remember though——— when he gets the big $$$$$ he will change and that may not be for the better.
