That is in no way, saying he thought he'd be the next Dan Marino. Simply stating a fact about his time at Pitt.

Learn not to read things that aren't there. When you try to read between the lines, your bias and own opinions get put there. None of the articles I could find had the question that Rooney was even asked to give that answer. That can change the meaning of that answer as well. But you have a habit of making things fit your narrative, even if they don't. Twisting quotes, twisting stats, "reading between the lines"...

Truth is, you don't know anymore than the rest of us, so you can't make the claim that "PRIVATELY" Rooney thought Pickett was the next coming of Dan Marino.

It’s not about a comparison of traits, of course Kenny didn’t have Dan’s physical skills, but they thought they were getting the next great QB from Pitt. If he had the same career at Louisville he would not have been on the Steelers radar.
