Pickett, Trubisky & Rudolph Oh My...

I was trying to give us good vibes. Figured maybe some positive energy would rally Steeler Nation.

I’m beat down my brother.
Tomlin has just wasted the positive energy of the fanbase, like he wasted Ben's talent, Heward's heart and now Watt's game changing abilities.

Don't take it personally, or let it get you down.

I've lost track of how many years it's been for boring offensive football while relying on splash plays from the defense to win.

Trabisky was a good gamble to take... but they shouldnt have anointed him a starter out of the Gate... he should have had to win a legit competition.... and when they drafted Pickett, they absolutely should have stuck by their guns and kept him #3 his first year and not given in to fan pressure...

Rodolph isnt the QB his current backers imagine him to be, nor was he ever as bad as his detractors made him out to be.

90% of our QB issues are strictly scheme.

Mitch stats suck because tge scheme sucks, but it looks so much worse because he has little care about ball protection and forces stuff so we lose with him in there

Kennys stats suck because the scheme sucks but he is too conservative and takes few chances so he never turns the ball over and wins more than he loses

Rudolph has had some decent stats, but almost solely off of his long TDs... the scheme still limits him... particularly in the red zone...

Basically the QB choice going forward pales in comparison to the choice of the OC or passing game Coordinator ... they better make the right choice

I would also say Rudy also limits Rudy in the Redzone but then I would be just throwing pebbles.

I would also add that Mitch's field vision also is substandard. I think that is why he forces passes that and he isn't all that accurate. But I would just be throwing boulders.

But I have to agree overall that the scheme blows chunks. We are talking projectile vomiting. Nobody is safe get out get out the wayyyyy. DuckDuck Hodge.

The scheme sucks *** and it has for 4 years. The defensive scheme sucks too. It lacks creativity in getting after the quarterback.

Just keep running the damn ball. This Sunday is thee perfect time to go old school. If the weather goes the way it's projected,it favors the Steelers most.

Which is why I’m not sure that Trubisky is cut next season. If Rudy decides to stay, Mitch is gone. But if Rudy says peace out Pittsburgh-Mitch stays. The other factor would be if Tomlin steps away. The next coach may not want him. But-if and buts were candy and nuts…

But why would you keep Mitch when he proved he can't handle the job? Better try someone else if Mason leaves

The scheme sucks and I just read the Steelers are pretty happy with Sullivan calling the plays and he could be the new OC. I sure hope not. I want the entire O staff gone and for them to start over. KP also needs to kick his "personal QB coach" to the curb and go to one of the top QB development places this offseason. I think that is a must if KP is going to have a chance to show why they drafted him. I still think he has a few levels we have yet to see from him but he does need to let it loose and not be afraid to fire the rock around the field. He has the arm to make all the throws. He just needs the confidence. And, he needs to learn how to trust his OL after they let him get pummeled for a year and a half. Hopefully, with a new RT and C, and with Jones moving back to LT, the OL should be very solid in the run AND in the pass - something they currently are still average at best.

Holy crap I hope they don’t make Sullivan or Faulkner the OC.
This organization must get this right this time and it starts with completely revamping this offensive coaching staff and bringing in someone from the outside.
If they promote this guy then I’m not expecting much to change. It will be business as usual and ANOTHER underwhelmed season.
