Pittsburgh Dad on the bungles game

I gotta admit. I didn't find him funny in the earliest episodes. But as he's really grown into the character I think it's become funnier.

It's a certain humor. I like.
Takes awhile to get used to.
 
just little pittsburgh inside/geography/colloquialism jokes, and whatnot.

my kids say "he sounds like grandma and grandpa".

Back when I was in high school and college in Pittsburgh in the '70s, my friends and I would joke around about - OK, abott - the Pittsburgh accent and the city's colloquialisms. Most of the people I knew were born and raised there, and still thought it was funny. I thought that was very cool.

But some of our "elders" didn't think it was cool at all. We were considered major jagoffs. And when I'd mention that I was from Oklahoma, and lived in Houston, they would slip into the worst Southern accent you've ever heard.

But now that they're really old, they can laugh about it. I had a hunch they'd come around (!)
