It's only irrelevant because he wasn't on last year's list, which was my point. This year was supposed to be the big QB class and it was a total bust. Next year is now supposed to be the QB class and there is a chance it is no where as deep as what some are claiming.


No one mentioned him as a first-round pick last year. Next year we're looking at (there are more, but I think some are going overboard with some names being listed):
Manning

If his last name was Jones with the same performances, would Manning really be as highly touted?

Moore wasn't even on the preseason radar last year. It was Manning, Nussmeier, Allar, Sellers, Mendoza, Beck, Klubnik, Green, and Leavitt. Moore, Simpson, and Mateer caught attention during the season, but they weren't preseason favorites as top draft picks. As we saw it play out, virtually every one of those prospects either didn't develop or regressed.

You're mistaken. Moore was indeed on the radar, in fact his preseason odds to win the Heisman were 25:1. Mendoza was 60:1.
