Possibility of Pitt/Buff showdown to Cleveland

So getting into and out of tgat stadium on a great weatger day in a many hour fiasco most days... throw in 7 inches of snow and i hope people remember to pack a snow tent, cause it may take DAYS.... 🤣

We win in Cleveland a lot, so . . . . . .

Honestly, if I was in Buffalo I would be pissed at losing my only home play off game to an other city.

NAILED it, but the GREED MACHINE don’t care. They want revenue and how about all those folks that have tickets and plane & motels booked————

I think it’s played in buffalo and not moved.

The NFL has said any reports of the game being played anywhere but Buffalo are 100% false.

The game will be played in Buffalo. This is merely idiot fans trying to create fake crap.

The end.

Supposedly below freezing temperatures as well as 50-60mph winds. Would make the game interesting for sure. Hope they decide soon. I’m holding off my prediction until the last minute.

*after further review and using google-the possibility of changing venues is fake news according to the NFL
I haven’t seen 50-60 mph winds. Last I saw was 25-35 which is bad enough. Did it change?

I was listening to Poni and Muller this afternoon and I believe they were talking about the winds

There would be a whole lotta Steeler fans making that trip...Be damn near a home game...Bring it

I can't see the weather being that bad.

Blizzard in Buffalo on Sunday?

The first game slated for Sunday could face not just the worst weather of the weekend but the worst weather for any game this season, as bitterly cold air clashes with intense snowfall when Buffalo battles Pittsburgh.

"There's going to be a very narrow band of lake-effect snow. I think we have a real opportunity that this can come right into Orchard Park on Sunday, and if it does, you're going to be looking at 1-3 feet of snow," Rayno explained. Strong winds paired with the heavy snow could create whiteout conditions around Orchard Park, New York, on Sunday.

"In fact, it would be a blizzard with temperatures in the 20s, AccuWeather RealFeel® Temperatures below zero," Rayno added.
Pittsburgh fans are known for traveling far to cheer on their team during away games, and folks making the journey from Pennsylvania to New York could face travel-snarling snow.

"Give yourself an abundance of time to get from home to the stadium, and expect very slow-moving traffic as well as near zero visibility underneath the strongest lake-effect bands," Youman said. "Have an emergency kit with you in case roads close and you’re stuck in your car."

Rayno added that the NFL may even consider changing the time of the game due to the timing of the heavy lake-effect snow in Orchard Park.

Man, they are calling for 1-3 inches on Sunday. That’s nothing. Having lived up that way for 4 years, lake effect snow is amazing, frightening and annoying at the same time. 1-3 inches is a flurry this time of year.
1-3 feet not inches if the lake effect does its thing

I don't believe that there's any truth to this, but Cleveland seems like an odd choice. Play it in Syracuse in the dome. They're all Bills fans up there. I'm sure that SU's women's basketball team would understand a postponement.

NFL addresses speculation that Bills wild card game could be moved

"We are monitoring conditions as we do for every game, but there have been no discussions about making a change to the game’s status," an NFL spokesperson says.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The NFL on Thursday evening refuted reports claiming that the Bills-Steelers wild card game could be moved to Cleveland, citing weather concerns.
"We are monitoring conditions as we do for every game, but there have been no discussions about making a change to the game’s status," said Brian McCarthy, vice president of communications for the NFL.
A social media post from media in Pittsburgh had said the game could be moved, citing the possibility for lake effect snow and saying that there could be a state of emergency issued for Western New York this weekend.
Last year the Bills' game against the Cleveland Browns was moved to Detroit after a massive lake effect snow event struck Western New York before Thanksgiving. The Bills beat the Browns 31-23 on a Sunday, then followed that performance with a 28-25 victory against the Lions on Thanksgiving Day.
A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties from 1 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Monday. Lake effect snow east and then northeast of the lake could produce 7 inches or more of snow.

Would Steelers fans make it a home game? I'd like to see a football game not a **** show so I'd be good with moving it.
I get that. I like that old school bad weather football though. So no surprise I am somewhere in the middle of people's wants.

I also want to note if the ball is wet, we need to give it to Najee more and Warren less.

Speaking of Cleveland, a couple of facts.
Yes facts.

Cleaveland's founder Moses Cleaveland founded Cleaveland and never went back.

The "Mistake" on the Lake originated when the daily paper misspelled Cleaveland. It was evident that "Cleveland" being shorter fit better in the newspaper heading, From that point Cleaveland became Cleveland...hence the original mistake.
