Better bring on new ownership too. I'm having a hard time understanding why folks can't see that ARll won't let coordinators and assistants be fired until their two year contract is up. He doesn't want to pay them for not being on staff. So, Canada was always going to get 2 years. Klemm was let go because he found a job and quit. Art doesn't have to pay him a dime.

"Always" is a bit of an exaggeration too. We had good to great offenses during Haley's tenure. Top notch assistants including Munch. On Defense they improved to be one of the top defenses in the league prior to this injury filled year. You don't get that with bottom of the barrel coaches. Now, if you were to say, "Where are the young, up and coming, innovative assistants instead of having a bunch of retreads?" .... Yeah, I could see that.
Taking the same job isn't a demotion. He’s a Robert Morris alum.
He’s offensive line coach. The Steelers are looking for an assistant offensive line coach. That is not the same job. It’s a demotion.
Ya Steelers are famous for being tightwads when it comes to hiring coaches… problem now is… the distribution of talent in the nfl is at an all time high… the only place to gain advantage is coaching… look at the shanahan coaching tree… these guy have raised the bar on offense and even defense. Only way Steelers get to next level is improving the coaching and Rooney’s just too cheap. mediocre coaches don’t win superbowls unless they are handed a Super Bowl team.

His level of suck is not quite on par with the number of complaint threads about him, when a QB is drawing up plays in the dirt and is more effective than a guy who has all week to plan it really says all ya need to know. His coaching is somewhere below the line of school yard “run out there and get open” plays.
Where could we ever find a coach to replace that depth of expertise? I’d wager at least 50-75% of the regular posters on this board would be more effective.
