Excellent drive by Pickett. That throw from Pickett to Muth with a defender bearing down was terrific.

Kid is cool as a frozen cucumber. Good accuracy, touch and vision.

I know the Steelers brought Trubisky in, because the QB position was very uncertain. Having said that, I see no reason to hold back Pickett. Trubisky did nothing to lose the competition, but the future is now. No point in bull ******** around with it. I hope Tomlin has the balls to make that call...

I can agree with this. Trubisky doesn't look to be leaps amd bounds above the rookie. So why not go with the rookie. Looks like he just might have that "it" factor. Of course it has just been a few drives in preseason though.

You do realize that JAXs 1st defense wasn't on the field right???

You're right.. but Pickett is just waay better at utilizing this offense than Trubisky at the moment, he just knows the situation. 3rd and 10s Trubisky throws check downs to RBs short of the 1st, Pickett makes those throws downfield and moves the chains. You can just see he got IT. Trubisky should be on a very short leash right now imo

That man is not scared or intimidated. He wants it and they should let him have it..He makes quick decisions and gets the ball out. It is hard to sack a QB that does that. He is ready and he needs the experience. He will be fine. The guy is an older rookie. He is no punk..

The front office should know Pickett inside and out. I am just glad they didn't move up to get him. And I truly believed they tried.

To be fair, Mitch played against their ones and had about .3 seconds before a guy was in his face. Picketts has much more time playing against their 2's and 3's

No doubt Pickett looks good so far, but it is pre-season and not against #1 defenses yet. I would still go w/ Mitch to start and go from there

So maybe next week the rookie starts. And we get another glimps of his abilities. That said. I think our FO did a horrible job addressing our OL. Time will tell though.
