Probably not watching the super bowl

I don't want the 49ers to tie us. I don't want the chiefs to win again. ugggg

But yeah I will watch. have never missed one.

Anyone actually interested in this game?

I dont really care which team wins and the NFL just isnt that interesting without a rooting interest...
No. Not too interested.

Whoever wins. Wins.

Am I interested?? Of course, its the Superbowl. It's the Championship game for my favorite sport.

I probably wouldn't watch it if it was just me. But a few friends are coming over and ol girl will watch. She likes watching sports in general. I have no huge sports passion outside of the Steelers.

I will be glued, in hopes they ”pan” to the Swifty…………………… (sarcasm)

If I do watch it will mainly be to see the manipulation for a certain QB & team Swifty,

proving this **** entity called the NFL.

My # 1 Interest is ONLY the STEELERS,

Salute the nation

Seems like it will be a very good game, both teams have good Ds and great offensive players too. From a pure sport point of view it should be a very good game

I'm not going to make any effort to watch. If what I was doing is over, I'll watch. If I catch on to something else good, I'll miss it.

Once the Lions were eliminated I lost interest: not even the commercials are worth watching anymore.
With the way the 9ers are built, they may see 7 before our Steelers even win another playoff game.

I'm watching and rooting for the Chiefs. Definitely do not want the 9ers to get another ring plus I actually like the Chiefs.

Don't care one bit and won't watch through hours of commercialization and a crap half time show to watch two teams I don't care about

Sounds like a long wasted day to me, much like so many Steelers games have become in the current mediocrity regime

It had been decades since I missed a Steelers game, that streak was beaten out of me by the insanity of continuing to watch this clown show and wanting (but not expecting) to see different results. So a game with no rooting interest sounds like a good day for a hike in the empty woods as the majority of the nation will be continuing their support of this inferior product.

Sad what they've done to my team and this game...even sadder is to blindly support the slippery slide into the dumpster

I have zero invested emotional interest. The only thing I think about is how many times the Chiefs have been in the superbowl as of late and the Steelers haven't even won a ******* playoff game in years.

What is it 6 AFCCG in a row? It makes me long for the days long gone.

It also makes me realize how far away the Steelers are from having their **** together and being a dominant force.

A part of me wants each teams to win for various reasons and I no longer care about someone matching the Steelers record because the pats****** already did. I won't even go into that.

It's sports entertainment. I think the Niners have more weapons and it will come down to which defense can slow down the opposing offense enough to win.

I would have rather had the Lions in this thing, but they blew that.

I'll check on the score once in a while. No dog in the fight, but if I had to choose, I'll pick the Chefs.

In years past I used to go fishing on SB Sunday. No one was there, so it was great fishing.

Just a thought

I'm guessing the TV will be on as the wife watches anything sports related, while doing 6 other things at the same time.
As far as sitting down and watching, doubtful, it will be mostly glancing as I'm passing by.

Night time here for the game so I'll probably watch here and there while cooking and spending a relaxed evening at home.

Life does get better when you don’t spend days off in front of the tv.

Develop some hobbies that challenge you physically and mentally and keep that mind sharp. In turn you find your overall mood better. I still root for the Steelers but I’ve also put football on the low priority list now that I have two kids.

If you can get over those years of dedicating sundays and try something different. I encourage it.

to your point. Steeltimes post about Chess has gotten back into a game I used to love. much better than watching TV

What do you fish for?
I go almost every sunday before the Steeler games. Between fishing and fantasy football and the Steelers. almost every Sunday is a good one.

I’ve read alzheimers has increased over the years. I think part of that is people don’t challenge themselves as they get older, especially in retirement. There are things like chess, learning an instrument, never too old to improve one’s health in fitness.

When I used to a powerlifting gym. There were people 60+ years old lifting hundreds of pounds. They looked sharp as ever too.

Definitely a multitude of ways to get away from tv. I typically use tv more as a treat if I do watch

My issue is there isnt a team i like or hate in it. Both franchises are successful.. neither are really rivals... neither really have a feel good story associated with it that matters to me. I have a good amount of KC fan friends out in kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma... but they've won enough recently that this really doesnt matter...

Football, in general is far less entertaining to me these days and I have other lots of other stuff to do... but still I seem to watch a metric ton of it during the regular season and playoffs.. this one though... ugh ... not a sliver of interest...

Maybe my Brother comes over or some friends and one of em puts the game on, but I think the CGs were way more compelling matchups... so I wont make an effort to watch.

I have an upstairs bathroom that needs remodeling and see no reason to spend one of my precious few in town off days watching something that doesnt really enthrall me right now.

I have no rooting interest so I’m not exactly excited for the game. Definitely watching because it’s the last one for a long time. I will say, unless your team is in it, the Super Bowl is the worst playoff game in terms of presentation every year. The game is a bit of a sideshow to the rest of the event and each year the crowd at the game because more corporate and sterile.
