Just want to chime in to say how nice it is that two guys (Omar and Buckeye) can jab at each other and be good sports about it. That doesn't happen much on this board. Karma to you both.

I'll second that!!!!!!!!! Humor is the bestest ever and I, myself, appreciate most forms. KARMA

Lol thanks. Yeah, sometimes it gets a bit "overly-serious" (me included) around here, its fun to crack wise:D

Are you saying that you have a wise crack ? "Life's to short to be mad"

On a serious note: Anyone notice how when "team play" improves, o is the board? I see the corilation on a timely basis. It's expected, but at times, a NICE endurance. Merry Christmass to all.

Salute the nation

What's frustrating is ya crappy drafting, crappy handling of the cap, crappy coaching and yet we are in the playoffs. But look at the loses we had we should be where the cheateriots are at contending for home field advantage. Everyone ******* steeler fans are too demanding well that why we have more championships than anyone else. We win. That it and that all and if we are not winning we are pissed. "That's the standard"

Hell, it doesn't matter if we ARE winning. Someone will come out of the woodwork to complain. Congratulations, this week that first person is you.

I know the Steelers have landed some big time players like Antonio Brown, Marcus Wheaton, LeVeon Bell & Martavius Bryant in recent years but this season the thing that has improved dramatically is our Offensive Line play. Those five guys out there plus Adams have been steadily improving each and every week. I think in the last 3 games they've only given up 2 sacks and both of those were Ben trying to extend the play. THE OLINE IS PLAYING OUTTA THEIR MINDS RIGHT NOW!!!

I have to say, in keeping with the original point, nothing this week changed my mind about them having made progress as the season unfolded. This game wasn't perfect, but we were mostly in control the whole game, but never was KC out of it. We didn't need a miracle Ben drive to save the day. KC is not a great team, but they are good. I thought it was a fairly solid win; not creaming the Colts and Ravens kind of win, but solid. I am seeing/sensing something from this team that had been missing for 2 1/2 years: chemistry, unity and a common cause. There is tons to be said for that stuff, and, lacking there of makes a championship impossible. I believe Seattle had lost theirs until about 5 weeks ago, and now have it back. Watching the D, I get a feeling of chemistry now and I feel #92 being back is a big part of it. Even Tomlin seems to have found a little bit of a groove and doesn't appear to be a thoughtless, lost coach on the sidelines. He is actually doing some coaching there and I even think players are responding to him, where previous to lately, they seemed to basically ignore him. This team has found its way. Is it enough to win a ring? IDK. But at least they are respectable and have a chance at contending.

Good point, Chico. I guess Munchak was an important addition after all. They also seem to be playing like they are brothers. I see a chemistry out there, even if Gilbert and Adams are still suspect with their performances, but I did see some flashes of passion from Adams, which was an upgrade. He was out there just letting his body fly around with force. I'd say they are at least a top 10 OL if not top 5, which is a huge upgrade over what we have been seeing the last 3 years.

Agree, I've taken notice of that as well. Silverback and Keisel are certainly part of it, as is the "new and improved" Willie Gay but the more recent insertions of Blake and McCain seem to have helped too. Two particularly nice defensive stands yesterday should serve to further that "feeling" amongst the D.

I'll chip in with a play from Tunches telestrator on Chalk talk from steelers.com. In one of the plays it is pass blocking for the big gain to Wheaton in Atlanta. Very good communication and pick ups of stunts with several hand offs from one lineman to another. Adams is doing a very good job stoning a defensive tackle. The rest of the line is also doing a good job in pass protection as well. The guys are developing as the season goes along and showing flashes of good play. Maybe it is just getting better coaching and time together.

Yea, and actually having continuity - for once - has to be helping. Prior to this year, how many seasons did we see mass injuries on the OL? It was just loco, how many bodies kept dropping. Knock on wood, we have had mostly the same 5 players out there save for Gilbert missing some time. That is a HUGE part of the better OL play.
