Andrew Fillipponi is exactly what’s wrong with sports writers on social media.

I’ve posted this statement a couple times, and now have some dynamic evidence to show for it. Instead of the Poni Express, he should use Lennon’s “Dig a Pony” lyrics to explain the stupidity of trying to get clicks.

Ike is confirming what many have known for quite some time. Donald is pretty good but still has a way to go. The STEELERS players mentioned did their thing when the league was full of GREAT GREAT players and not watered down to today's league standard.

Maybe Andrew needs some public click rides on the

Many are coming to this conclusion about Donald after an obviously very dominant SB performance.

Maybe they should consider, the Bungles O line allowed 19 sacks in their 4 game playoff run??? Just under a 5 sack PER GAME average!!! That’s horrific for a playoff team! Alex Highsmith (although having shown year 2 growth) and some dude named Taco opposite Watt, isn’t quite the supporting cast Donald has, that other teams need to account for!!!

Yes, I understand Cam is a game wrecker too, but his pressure is usually right up the middle and doesn’t necessarily pull double teams from Watt. Opponents can take their chance with single blocker on Taco or Highsmith, while going heavy on Watt’s side.

Against Rams, O has to account for Floyd n Miller, as well as Donald.

YOIIIKKKEEESSS !!!

What about Derrick Thomas, 2-year window of warren sapp, Bruce smith ???
All Donald level or better.

The fact that Donald has PITTSBERGH ties does not equate him to STEELERS LEGENDS.

Guy is always saying crazy ****. Sad when you need that much attention.

Yeah, I am not a fan of Poni’s hot takes to be controversial just to be controversial… I really don’t get the thought process around hiring radio journalists for this market… pretty much all of them would be better served in some college basketball hotbed… they mostly have little grasp of most of the sports they cover and little of Pittsburgh history…

Donald is the best defensive player of this current era, though watt could surplant him…

I don’t know why they need to try to make every current superstar the best ever comparison

No argument but the question is he of all generations? And im not sure thats true, and i am a huge donald fan
This thread is trending toward Donald isn't the most dominant defensive player of the current era. It's really hard to deny that by any measure. He has the stats, advanced states, and passes they eye test.
