Question about the catch/no catch bullshit.

So let’s say he catches it,falls, isn’t touched and rolls three times to get into the end zone, then the ball touches the ground. That would be incomplete?

Pereria is talking out his *** .

“If going to the ground....”. He already WAS on the ground the minute his knee touched.

If this was a head first diving in mid air kind of play, I could maybe see the argument

Maybe. But not indisputably.

Jesse ****** up a simple catch. But instead of holding onto the ball he made a dramatic lunge and his own mediocrity forced him to bobble it and make it controversial

You guys have to let this go.

I know it sucks, but it's over. They knew they had to play a perfect game to beat the cheaters. A perfect game.

In the end, it wasn't a perfect game. Whether he caught it or didn't catch it just doesn't matter. The ruling has been made, the game is over and the Steelers need to win the next two in order to secure a week off so Brown MAY have a shot at returning.

Get your "fan head" in the game.

That would be Troy Polamalu vs Colts in the playoffs when they robbed him of an interception.

My fan head takes longer. I'm still pissed off at Neil O'Donnell, it's subsided a little over the years. As long as I don't watch Super Bowl XXX

Mike Perrera is now a corporate suit who is trying to "protect the shield" for Daddy Roger. Of course he's going to say it was the right call, even though anyone who watches football regularly knows it wasn't.

He caught it.... held it with both hands securely.... stretched his arms while still holding it securely, clearly possessing it with both hands.... then broke the plane of the end zone with the ball still clearly securing it. I guess they should start overturning every touchdown where the receivers spike or spin the ball after they Score... because they let the ball touch the ground after breaking the plane.

Shanon Sharpe made a great point about that. Said he should have just gone to the ground and covered the ball. When you extend like that bad things can happen.

Yep. And that is the exact example I used a few years ago when they started all this ambiguous catch bullshit. That would be no catch. And then these idiot talking heads could sit around and preach to us about how it makes perfect sense because it's the rule.

He could roll 99 yards down the field untouched and have the ball come loose in the end zone and it could be ruled incomplete. Letter of the law and all that. Makes perfect sense!

No. It's a BS rule that gets fans fired up every week. No one watching games from the most die hard fan and football analyst to a first-time viewer has any clue what a reception is. It is the WORST rule in all of sports and needs fixed. These types of complex rules ruin the viewing experience and the NFL needs to do something about it.
