Raiders Ruggs was involved in a DUI accident that caused a fatality apparently late last night.

Raiders filed a grievance with the NFL due to multiple dirty hits Renfro received from the ravens.

Sorry I am on the road and just heard it on SiriusXM. Somebody can help me with links

Damn, that's just awful to read, my sympathies go out to the victim's loved ones.

Ruggs, you dumbass, there went your career. Hope it was worth it!
High priced lawyer could get him one year? One year away wouldn't be a career killer, but anything past that might be the nail in the coffin.

He’ll do a little time and be welcomed back to the league so long as he’s still fast.

He'll be running around trying to keep things out of his cornhole. The speed should be fine.

One year on a DUI causing death. You don't live in Canada bro. I don't think any lawyer's getting that done. It will either be nothing cause he was barely intoxicated and the accident was unavoidable but if he was smashed he is gone.

Yeah, when you cause a death you're going to prison. It might not be for life if he was smashed, but I can't imagine he's coming back soon. And all his money is bye-bye.

Under Nevada law, DUI resulting in death is a Class B felony. Punishment includes two to 20 years in prison.

According to the statement, the front of Ruggs’s Corvette collided with the rear of a Toyota Rav4. The Toyota became engulfed in flames, and a “deceased victim” was found inside the Toyota.

Ruggs was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

That dude is screwed… his career is done. He will be lucky if he gets out in five years… he will not get two… and the nfl should just ban him

Donte Stallworth begs to differ. He played again for the Ravens and he jumped a curb and killed someone. He will allowed to sign with Brady, NE, Ravens or Dallas.

As for the cheap shot Ravens, this is the 3rd complaint I have heard/read about.

So does Leonard Little.

Stallworth basically paid the family off, and if I remember I think the guy kinda ran out in front of his car. Not sure what the law is exactly or if the family can influence the DA, but I think Ruggs will be screwed.

I doubt it. Leonard Little was wasted, hit and killed a women. Got 4 years probation, continued his career in the league for another 11 years while becoming and all pro and SB champion. He was again arrested for DWI in 2005 and got another 2 years probation. His career ended in 2009.

Ruggs will continue to live a great life in the NFL. All the while, his former head coach is outcasted for saying words(typing words)...

The victim was J-walking which was illeagal in that state (florida i think), so his deal was a little different than Rugg's. Rugg's ran into the rear end of a vehicle so there is that.

Regardless of circumstances someone is dead and prayers go out to the victims family and friends.

Salute the nation

I’ll let steel handle this but if I recall that happened in FL and their laws could be different. Also if I recall the man was walking down a highway. A bit different than ramming a car from behind, “unless” said person brake checked him which I doubt

I'm sadden by this news. A lot of my young alum can't seem to stay from behind the wheel when they've been drinking. I cast no blame on anyone but them but the NFL and teams need to do something (recurring annual training/class) on topics like these...

Very unfortunate indeed.

About Renfro - well, youngin' until you get your nose broke by Ngata - quit your cryin'...we all know the Rats play dirty.
