Raiders and ravens

Reports say that the victim was a 23 year old female. You must be held accountable for the decisions you make in life. The Raiders have released Ruggs.
His football career is probably over in a flash. Unfortunate but not as tragic as the loss of life and damage to family and friends of the deceased.
The NFL is full of way too many young people who think they are invincible. Reality comes calling in due time.

Wonder if this will lead to a recall on Rav 4 if it burst into flames from a rear collision. Maybe the victim's family gets paid by Toyota and Ruggs.

I'd like to know how fast he was going just before impact

Stallworth and little were from much different eras… I don’t think they will let this guy back ever… and he is getting hit under multiple secions of mandatory time served..

In this age he is going to be made an example of both by society and the shield

it doesnt quote mph. but does say he was on a 3 lane rd in the middle lane,, moved to right lane,,, presumably because someone going to slow in middle lane. When he moved to right lane, ran into the back of the victim. She was trapped inside her vehicle which caught fire

vid of the crash site, vehicle on fire

Man, that's crazy. I can't believe the vehicle caught fire like that especially so quick.

Something doesn’t sound right. If he clipped the back of the car while changjng lanes from the side or partially from the side at high speed, he would have spun the car out and being an SUV, it likely would have rolled. Sounds like he hit her from directly behind. How much speed difference could there have been?

If it was like 30 mph or more difference, with Ruggs hitting from behind, you would think Ruggs lighter vehicle would have been the more damaged and Ruggs the more injured.

if it was like a 15 MPH difference, then why would the car burst into flames? Sounds like a defect.

his corvette was demolished,, ****** up,, this wasnt a 15 mph or even 30 mph crash. TOTALED. Look at the tmz link pics.

That said,, the street was empty.

Maybe, but isn’t that car almost completely carbon fiber? A large fly would dent the **** out of it. Lol.

It was just reported on SiriusXM, GPS info said that he was going 156 mph before impact
Not surprised. The Corvette was smashed to the windshield and I used to own one. Fiberglass is extremely tough. I guess his female passenger was hurt pretty badly too, so there goes another lawsuit. What a major **** up.

Decelerated to 127 so he is lucky to be alive at that speed. He will get a minimum of 2 years in jail without parole as an option and probably longer as he a loaded gun found on the floor and was way over the legal limit. He will also face charges as his passenger has a broken arm. So that is at last three separate charges. He is done.

My son made a good point. Will be interesting to track players on the sin city team. So much accessibility of bad choices. Two seasons and a felony DUI.

What matters is the difference in speed between the 2 cars. If he hit a wall going 127, he’s dead. But the car he hit must have been going pretty fast as well for him to emerge unscathed. I won’t be surprised if Toyota has to answer for design issues.

I had a Jeep that had a recall because it was determined that a rear impact could explode the gas tank, The fix was to have a trailer hitch installed which would protect the tank.

Why do I feel you want to pull out an SAT question. A Raider was going 156mph and hit a car that was traveling 86mph, at what point during the impact did dick realized he **** up?

Lol

To be real, that C8 is low as **** vs that RAV4. He easily could have done under it and struck the fuel tank and with his engine running and exposed caused it.

A very good point...Sin City and young guys with a lot of money.

I'd like to know if this particular Toyota was a hybrid. If the batteries got punctured, this will be an interesting case. Those fires are hot and hard to put out.

Yep, even at 127 or whatever, if you hit someone in the *** you're pretty much at fault. And even a 40 mph bang is ugly. Those tests they do at 40ish speeds with crash dummies are horrifying.

I feel sad of the victims, including Ruggs. Young people don't have any fear of mortality. None of us here know him personally and I'm sure we have all made some bad choices............. thankfully none of mine killed anyone.

If he hit someone at 100 plus in a c8 that is carbon fiber that **** would be Way worse. And he be dead.

You're really pursuing this "toyota defect" angle pretty hard, huh? What are you, Ruggs' attorney? Quit being such an oddball about her vehicle, I guarantee you Toyota isnt gonna have to answer for a damn thing

Maybe he drives one?

In any event Toyota isn't the one with the DUI or the 156ph slowed to 127mph on impact.
