When I saw Hamilton's awful 40 time and read he might fall, I watched the All-22 of him against Alabama in 2019 and Cincinnati in 2021. He is a bigger, slower version of Terrell Edmunds. I am not saying this because he is a Rat - I said the same thing about a week ago.
He spends a ton of time deep safety, 25 yards from the LOS, watching plays. Tons of zone. Very little man. He was forced to play man against Cincinnati when they schemed ND out of zone and he struggled mightily covering slot receivers and RB's. He let one Cincy receiver walk into the middle of the endzone uncovered.
I acknowledge he is much better at finding the ball in the air than Edmunds. But he really gambles by jumping routes from deep safety and lets receivers go uncovered deep in the process. Kinda Edmunds with better ball skills and more risk.
