Yea and I think this is what happened. Tulare County is not a liberal area. Usually votes republican. It's in the central valley of California which is conservative for the most part. There's a blame game going on over this, from the probation department risk assessment, the superior court's judicial hearing officer's (who usually handles minor cases and traffic violations) signing off on the release to the DA's office who may or may not have been tardy in filing charges.Or terrible stupidity.

Actually letting them go isn't the worse thing. You gotta send them back though. The cartels aren't gonna be happy losing all that money...those guys probably wouldn't survive real long.
