Ray Rice can return

On film punching a woman, and the NFL can't fire him? That's ****** up.

If they had fired him from the start it would be different. The problem is they gave him a punishment, then gave another one after the first one was served. Its a double geopardy situation that violates the CBA and that's why they had to reinstate him. Ole Rog must be a real bad lawyer not to know and grasp that.

5 games left for most teams. I don't know. Desperate teams might bring him in for a chance to add to sales. Ya'll know who I mean, the Land of Misfit Toy teams.

Raiders
Jets
49ers (Harbaugh &Harbaugh)
Jacksonville
Tennessee
Maybe San Diego

Speaking of Ray Rice, how bad did Goodell handle this entire situation?

gotta be the Faiders

Exactly. Roger's judgement had tarnished the shield...

just wondering why the NFL cant just keep him on the exclusive all-encumbering Commissioner's Exempt List, of which ol Rog is the judge and jury? I mean, he can be reinstated, but can't Rog weasel a shithole in there somewhere?

I'd be surprised if he plays again. He'll be 28 in January and has a huge social stigma attached wherever he goes.

I'd be shocked if some team picked him up. The backlash would not be worth the benefit

Vick got picked up. I don't think knocking a woman out is worse than killing and torturing dogs.

Just as a FU to the Ravens, I'd bring him in for an interview. Doesn't mean we would sign him by any means, but after Hairball's comments, I'd like to give some back to him.

Will never happen, though.

Legal issues aside, the wheels were already falling off the last couple years. This isn't "Ray Rice" Ray Rice you'd be getting, this is a mostly broken down back who used to be awesome but is nowhere close to that now.

why the FLUCK would they want to do that??? There was a time, if your name was ray, they'd taken yaz from murduring / lieing / scondrel to all pro LB. Ahhhh, those were the good O'l days......

Salute the nation

Why should he not be allowed to work? He has already lost more money than many folks will make in 20 years. No criminal charges were brought against him that I am aware of. He committed a misdemeanor. The vindictive nature of the people expecting a lifetime ban is nuts.

I am not saying that what he did was right or even justifiable. Taking away his chance to earn a living is not justified in any way. If we were to take this further should everyone else be forbidden to work if they commit a misdemeanor. His punishment has already been more severe than it should have been.

I am not nor have I ever been a fan of the Ravens or Ray Rice, I have no feelings for them one way or the other.

nobody is saying he shouldn't get on with his life's work at mc Donald's

Exactly - like MJD has just "shined" in Oakland...

The one who got knocked out is staying with him.

If she isn't more upset about it, why should anyone else be?

Let him play.
