Really all comes down to turnovers

When they've won that battle they've won the games. When they've lost it they lose. And it honestly comes down to the defense. Offense has been pretty good all in all in taking care of the ball. Even with the big plays and at times looking soft, if you have a ball hawking safety group and maybe a pass rush that generates some strip sacks, you have a decent contender team. Mike Mitchell has been a terrible addition, just brutal.

Man none of these F/A's have really worked. Mitchell so far, Blount was a disaster, Cam Thomas is fat and stinks, Heyward Bey is just taking a roster spot. I guess you could make a case for Artie Moats. He's been pretty decent filling in and of course James Harrison has done well too but its not like he really ever left imo.

They have a league top three at QB, WR and Running back. They are scoring almost 28 points a game. Can you imagine if some of the good Steelers Defenses would have had that kind of offensive output.

I can agree, turnovers makes the difference. However, Moats, a free agent pickup made the play and we're all good with that. I'm not overly excited about our free agents we picked up this season but this is what we have......sitting at 8-5 and very much in the discussion for winning the division, I'll take it for now.

Mitchell is just terrible and Polamalu has not been much better. They're like ghosts out there, only standing out when they're being punked in the open field.

On the long TD by Green, Green juked Mitchell so badly he fell on his ***.

But even the terrible big plays aside and the scoring. If you sprinkle in some interceptions and forced fumbles and this team is good enough. Like even if Mitchell had three interceptions I could live with the rest of the ****.

I agree to an extent, but you actually need to put up some resistance and force offenses to have to strings some long drives together to beat you.

These 40+ yard pass plays the Steelers are constantly giving up are just as bad as your own offense turning the ball over from a momentum standpoint.

I believe they held them scoreless in the first quarter and stopped them on several other plays as well. I will have to go with a John Madden quote here, "Sometimes you have to realize the other guys are pretty good and they are getting paid too." With the rules the way they are today and the skill of the opposition holding them to 21 points was pretty good defense. The steelers defense also had an interception nullified by a penalty called on Worilds. In regard to the long ball it was a great job beating the jam and a great throw by the QB Dalton, later in the game Ben and Bryant did the same thing.

Wow...Ben is a top three quarterback now?

Manning, Brady, Rodgers, Luck, and Brees. Which three of those guys is he ahead of?

Ben is #2 behind Luck in Passing yardage. #4 in QBR

He has more rings than all but the ***.

Had to watch the game at a bar rather than the palatial Ark estate. Saw the int by Gay, but never saw who committed the penalty or whether it looked legit. Was it legit or ticky tack?

That's nice, but it doesn't answer my question.

We will have plenty of time to debate if Ben was top 3, top 5, or top 50 once we're ******* bottom feeding for 10 ******* years waiting for our next franchise qb to show up. I'm sure you can't wait for that though.

I'm not speaking of your personal top ten or whatever the NFL comes up with next year, where they will surely put Ben behind Brady even though he is like 800 yards ahead and a higher passer rating. Bottom line, is statistically all three are in the top three at their position. Whatever personal way you interpret statistics is up to you. Statistically he is 2-4 based on the main statistics of yards, TD, passer rating.
Is Brown a better receiver than Megatron? I don't know, but statistically he has a higher right now.

Further- His Career stats to date according to NFL.com are-

QB Rating 93.7
Completion Percentage 63.6
Average YP 7.9
Touchdows 238
Ints 130
20+ 506
40+ 98

You can saw whatever you like about the guy, doesn't bother me any, I don't really give a **** how he stacks up to Brady or Brees, because in the scheme of things, that only matters when you aren't talking Championships. Bradshaw was in no way, shape or form one of the best qb's to ever play the game. He was good, and the sonofabitch was clutch, no doubt about that, but was he in the same category as Montana and Marino? I don't think so. I like Championships, and having a guy like Ben on the Steelers has given us two more than we had in the years since Bradshaw hung em up. I'm hoping we get one or two more before we're watching the next Kent Graham or Kordell Stewart trying to hit a 10 yard pass so we can get excited that for a change he didn't throw a pick6 again. We will have plenty of time to debate his pure qb skills when we're watching some journeyman shitbag behind center again, I for one am in no hurry.

Ark I never saw it either, I suspect it must have been ticky tack cause Cool Shades was chewin on one of the zebras like a refugee from the lion king. I never saw it on the replay or heard any of the talking heads discuss it. Normally they run the film and we at least get to see it but not that one. I do recall they showed the hold on Adams and I thought that was a bit ticky tack as well.

I'm asking about your personal list. You think Ben is a better quarterback than Tom Brady, and which other two guys I listed?

OK. You don't give a **** who is in the top 3. I guess at least that's an answer.

Ben on his better days is as good or better than any QB in the league. That is why he gives you a punchers chance that a lot of guys wouldn't. However he is more prone to the off day than the others. So no he isn't probably as good. That isn't the point. In baseball if I have the top percentage hitter, the near highest home run hitter and the near top base stealer and I'm scratching my *** to make playoffs something else is wrong. Pitching or fielding. In the Steelers case they simply aren't generating enough turnovers.

I think Ben is LOADS better than Tom Brady when you pressure them both. Brady is a ******* ***** if you get in his face, Tommy threw a nice pick last night because his ***** tightened up when the rush was on. Did you happen to SEE that ******* offensive line Ben was behind last time he won a SuperBowl? With the same protection, I think Ben is as good as any qb in the NFL, when that protection breaks down, he's better than them all. Period. Now, is he the same "type" of qb as Brady? No, he isn't, just like Bradshaw was no Montana. Montana was most likely the best to ever play the game, and it's a long distance between him and the next guy on the list. And HE even had **** games, but more often than not, Montana was gonna get the job done. I still feel that way about Ben, but I don't know how far he can get this year with the defense giving up points like they are candy on Halloween.

I agree with this...If we had Brady or Manning on our SB teams we most likely don't win them...simply put.....our OL was just that bad..

Rodgers is the only one I'd consider over Ben. I like the quick release, quick decision making.
