While many far-right websites out there are saying this is some sort of Sharia in America, I just find it outrageous that this is what members of congress decide to do with their time.
In a typical "gotcha" damned if you do, damned if you don't type bill, 82 Democrats (mostly from California) decided to reiterate that hate crimes against Muslims are illegal (weren't they always???). Whether there are additional measures that actually infringe on freedom of speech (am I allowed to criticise Islam or is that off-limits?) is open to debate for the courts to decide I guess.
It just shows the crock of **** our government has become. To take time away from actually governing or correctly laws that don't work or passing new laws that actually mean something, 82 representatives (including mine from Delaware btw) decided to introduce a "be careful what you say about Islam" resolution that doesn't mean jack ****.
And people wonder why America is fed up and give Congress a 10% approval rating.
I'm writing John Carney tonight and tell him why I'm disappointed in him and think this was a waste of his time. If you have a representative on the list, go ahead and do the same.

And again... what's the first thing it enacts/says: We (the United States) apologizes. I'm sick of it.
