Reggie Nelson in Tomlin's Face

When I saw this I flashed back to the bad call the zebras dropped on us years ago and the chin stuffing pre snap pictures into the zebras pocket. Not quite as good but MT is finally looking like he knows what is going on and that he is ready to do something about it. Good job MT.

Tomlin's pointing finger gets in the way of what he's saying....

Bengals secondary has a habit of going after receiver's knees. They ruined Heath's knee in 2012 on a similar really ugly low hit, and did the same to Bell this game.

I'm almost positive it was Nelson who took out Miller's knee as well.

I think you might be right.

The guy is trying to hurt receivers. And don't give me the bullshit about it "not being dirty" and that the "NFL wants them to do this."

Re-watch the game. Steelers defenders tackle Green waist-to-chest, though he is a big kid. They don't go after his knees.

The hit on Miller was almost exactly the same as the hit on Bell - Heath caught the ball and before he had a chance to do a damn thing to protect himself, the defender went right at his knees. Same with Bell - he went directly at his knee.

I call bullshit on a claim that he was not trying to hurt the guy. If you go right at the receiver's knees, before he has a chance to even see you, you are trying to hurt him.

It was more reminscent of Noll getting in Jerry Glanville's face after a game in Houston, complete with Chas pointing his finger at him. Noll was mad about what he thought were cheap shots by the Oilers.

I saw it on youtube a few years ago but can't find it now.

I can't remember that one but it would have been great to see it, I'll add the again cause I likely saw it then just don't remember it.

I remember that.

Noll was pissed. AFC Central coaches hated Glanville.

I recall Sam Wyche going for an onside kick, when leading the Oilers something like 44-0 with about 1:00 left on the clock.

The Bungles recovered and scored another passing TD right afterwards.

It was classic.

Noll was royally pissed. But he delivered his lines with typical Noll Cool.

I don't think Glanville said a word...just stood there with his mouth open and an expression of "What the f..?"

Very confused, I was sure Heath went out on a very similar type, bang bang catch hit to the knee. I just watched the highlight and he was blocking for Mendenhall and got caught up in traffic and someone fell on his knee.

I keep searching or Reggie nelsons side of the story and keep getting buptkus

Different injury.

Heath had his knee blown up against the Bungles on December 23, 2012.

Exact same type of hit - defender went right at Miller's knee the second he made the catch. Result was a devastating knee injury that basically ruined 2013 for Heath.

Glanville has talked about that since, and pretty much said he was intimidated by Chuck.

Tomlin had a lot of stress and worry in his look when Bell went down. He knows how important Bell is to the playbook and offense right now.

I think Tomlin was wrong, but it's a very stressful situation and some of that bubbled out. No big deal really.

Nelson probably was telling MT that he didn't mean to injure Bell, but Tomlin called him out on the low hit. Maybe he was trying to justify the hit and MT didn't swallow the BS so well. I could be way off, but for Marv to intervene, it got heated.

Chuck Noll publicly called out the John Madden Oakland Raiders for cheap shots referring to their play as a "criminal element" in the league.
Long Live The Emperor Chaz!

Crappy rules of engagement will lead to more **** like this. So you don't go high and could end up destroying a guys career going low. What's the happy medium? I'm going with better impact absorbing helmets or just go to flags.

Wait, so one of Tomlins players ratted Tomlin out to Nelson?
