Clemson's Cole Stoudt threw for 319 yards and three touchdowns while Oklahoma's Trevor Knight threw for 103 yards and three interceptions as the No. 17 Tigers beat the Sooners 40-6. Wonder if he's better than Dad?

Showed some promise but got lured away by the USFLs Birmingham Stallions.

Promise? Was that before of after he totally sucked with the Steelers? :p.

Bradshaw sucked for the Steelers as well but remained with the team. Not saying he was another Bradshaw, just not a finished product when he left.

I hope this young man's genetics haven't been contaminated by his old man!

Yes, we used to call him El Overthrow.

And then we called his (poor) replacement Cliff Malone.

Those were dark days to be a Steeler fan.

Yeah they said the same thing about Kordell. Just give him another year..haha. He melted down against Denver in the AFCCG and never reformed. He could have been a decent wr too.

As I recall, at the time Stoudt was playing here they were building the Parkway North and the joke was that they were going to name an off-ramp after him and call it The Cliff Stoudt Underpass.

Terry Bradshaw played 2 series in 1983 - both led to TD passes. His last past as Steeler the elbow popped and while it was a TD; it ended career. We had #3 D that year, and the incredible start they had that year in spite of Stoudt led to a 1-5 finish. The 83 Steelers were a SB contender with healthy Bradshaw and Stallworth

Against the Jets.

As I recall the offensive line that year was offensive and Stoudt got sacked a lot but was good at keeping drives alive running the ball. 9-2 start I believe.

When I was a kid, my friends and I would play a game where we would do impressions of terrible QB's to make each other laugh. Being a Steeler fan I would always do Cliff Stoudt, which would consist of me throwing the ball about 40 yards almost straight up in the air and only about 10 yards forward. So basically everyone else on the field would be standing in one spot waiting for it to come back down. I was also famous or my Todd Blackledge which was me firing the ball as hard as I could at the other persons shins and ankles.

MARK Malone......actually.

finally Ben's replacement!

I believe Stoudt had the distinction of being the first player to qualify for an NFL players' pension without actually playing a down in a regular season game.

While Cliff Stoudt may not have had the skills to light things up, I do believe he kenw what needed to be done. Maybe he was able to pass that onto Skippy.

Bubby is a private QB coach and Merrill Hoge's son was one of his students.

The only thing I remember about Cliff Stoudt is that the dumbass broke his arm trying to punch one of those punching bags (a la Urban Cowboy) after the infamous Mark Malone 90yd TD Reception Seattle Game. Then when Bradshaw got injured later, our backup is sitting there with a ******* cast on his wrist while we finished the season with a very green Mark Malone.

Have Stoudts card.

Waiting for it to increase in value so I can retire.

I have an incredibly rare autographed photo of Duce Staley in a Steelers uniform actually running with the football (and not standing on the sideline in sweats).

Whats that worth? Think my card is at $.02. hoping in another 20 years it will double in value. And that, my friend, is when the coin starts rolling in.

I'd have Stoudt sign it, but it may devalue the card...

MARK Malone......actually.

Yes, but we called him (and any other sucking QB) "Cliff", as in Cliff Malone.

Still say it when Ben misses a pass by a lot. "Wow, he really Cliff Maloned that pass"

Some things just last forever
