Remembering the Steelers Greatest Hits (and not so great)

The most memorable hit by Kirkland was in the Super Bowl vs Dallas when he did a Troy Polamalu impersonation and shot up the middle sacking Aikman for a big loss.

Agree, but here is another example of the BIG man and his agility

I can’t remeber who they were playing but Levon was down field around his own 20-15ish covering a receiver. Kirkland intercepted it and took off back to score. He ran out of gas around the 6 with only the QB left. He stepped out of bounds as he was totally gassed (probably didn’t want to chance a fumble).

The offense scored but Cowher allowed Kirkland to go out and “HOLD” for the extra point conversion. After the game Cowher was asked about that and he said it was Levon that got us down there on a great play, so why not…….!

I’m only going out of memory, but I thought the whole thing was awesome, including the coaching part.

Salute the nation

You got most of it right, but what Cowher really said was "Because we are buddies."

no. wait. wrong coach. sorry. nothing else to see here. carry on.

So many great memories in this thread. The Bussie pile driving of Brian U. is just epic and forever burned in my memory. just wanted to call that one out again because its an offensive guy delivering the crushing blow.

One I haven't seen posted and could not find the video of was Ocho Cinco getting his gold plates knocked the eff out his mouth.
