So tired of all the hysterics and performance politics, how the right has been screaming bloody murder about this guy being a Muslim and a Communist, et al. At the end of the day, he was elected in a resounding manner by constituents he serves in the city, and has done nothing that is over the top, or extremist, from what I can tell. All I hear is bluster, slander, and duplicity when it comes to Mamdani, coming from frothing-at-the-mouth, unhinged right-wingers. He's the perfect boogeyman for the freakazoids who see a Communist! behind every bush, and in every nook and cranny.

He's been in office since January of this year, I'll let this summary of his early returns in office speak for itself.

Ultimately, Mamdani has proven to be an energetic and operationally competent manager in his opening chapters, avoiding the worst fears of total administrative gridlock while actively delivering on several bread-and-butter promises for everyday New Yorkers.

Observers note that Mamdani has shown high intelligence and political acumen by recognizing the limits of pure activism. Instead of picking ideological fights that stall government, he has adapted to the "electromagnet" of pragmatic governance. His massive grassroots campaign inspired historic voter turnout, and his high national popularity reflects an appetite for a leader hyper-focused on working-class economic burdens rather than partisan theater.

Rather than treating City Hall solely as an ideological stage, Mamdani's first nine months have included several tangible legislative and operational outcomes:

Affordability & Childcare: Securing a $1.2 billion commitment from Governor Kathy Hochul for his childcare agenda, expanding the city's 3K program and launching free childcare for two-year-olds in several lower-income neighborhoods.

Housing Stability: Utilizing his appointment power on the Rent Guidelines Board to deliver a rent freeze on rent-regulated apartments, aligning with his core campaign pledge to combat the cost-of-living crisis.

Fiscal & Basic Operations: Passing a balanced $124.7 billion municipal budget hours before its deadline. Blitz I travel to NYC on business, but don't live there, so I have no opinion on this. Best to ask some native New Yorkers.

agree with it, but it's not entirely a "room" as you'd picture. more like a part of the museum with a barrier in front with warning signs of what is behind it.
and there are tissue podiums placed almost every 25 feet in the place. its truly an emotional experience.

just my opinion, but people who "don't seem bothered" by the words just know that those people would not have jumped if the building wasn't on fire.

I’m gonna disagree. There is no radical Islam or non-radical Islam. There is only Islam. Saying that you’re referring only to radical Islam is like saying racism against whites is reverse racism. There’s only racism.

They are what they are. They believe what they believe. You can choose to believe there’s a difference, but you do it at your own peril.

They don’t like you. They don’t like what you or your country stands for, and they want to destroy you and your way of life and put their own on top of it. Do you think they really want to be free? Is that why they show up here and do the exact same **** they do in their own 5th century “civilization?” To them, you’re nothing more than kaffir.

I don't pretend to have a world view on the subject. But I have met several decent people that were islamic.( worshipepd islam?) Nor sure how to say it
I closet almost dated a Iranian girl in high school. I say closet because her family never found out. It was more like way way way on the down low.
She was super nice, but terrified her family would find out. We really didn't do anything just hung out and talked.
I did end up meeting her family, but strictly as a friend.
From that family I did meet several Muslims that I would consider friends.
I think there are bad people in every religion

They don’t like me but they aren’t all terrorists or interested in violently imposing their views on the rest of us.

My point is that we aren’t opposed to anyone who peacefully has a different religious viewpoint than we do. I don’t care what they believe as long as they don’t force it on others. I’m opposed to oppression of women, child sexual abuse and murdering terrorists. If you want to wear a burka and pray to Allah I don’t give a ****.

IDK, every country that they enter they do so quietly and peacefully, keeping to themselves but never assimilating to their new countries culture. Then they multiply and become more vocal, involved in politics and become increasingly bold. History proves this to be the case.
