May he rest in peace.

Often called "one of the most courageous persons the Civil Rights Movement ever produced," John Lewis has dedicated his life to protecting human rights, securing civil liberties, and building what he calls "The Beloved Community” in America. His dedication to the highest ethical standards and moral principles has won him the admiration of many of his colleagues on both sides of the aisle in the United States Congress.
He has been called "the conscience of the U.S. Congress,” and Roll Call magazine has said, "John Lewis…is a genuine American hero and moral leader who commands widespread respect in the chamber.”

He believed sincerely in his positions, although like many he moved from genuine concern for civil rights and discrimination to Communism.

A true civil rights leader would have denounced the terroristic actions of BLM. Going hardcore racist commie pretty much nullified his prior efforts. It’s too bad that he never came close to being the activist that his republican friend MLK was.

Later, dude. RIP.

All we need is a good, strong troll response, and I think you sir, have won--uh, the internet today?

An afternoon in the hot sun. Taking a motorcycle safety course today. 96 with 100% humidity. Fun times.

Do you at least get to ride a motorcycle?

He was leading the chorus saying Trump's election was "illegitimate" . In the end, he was the Ted Kennedy "Lion of the Grievance Industry" in the same category with Elijah Cummings -- despite giving benefit of doubt for noble intents 60 years ago. Not much to celebrate on the Back 9.

I can't even imagine what he went through, specifically in his younger years, and I commend him and the many others like him to stood up for not only themselves, but the greater collective. For not just fighting against the system but joining it to fight it within. inspiring, to say the least. Rest in Peace.

A marked improvement.

Condolences to his family I am sure they loved him. But as Burgundy points out instead of doing things that would have made a difference he chose to side with the DNC and keep forwarding policy that kept many black Americans as a government dependent voting block.
