Going into the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Week 1 matchup with the Buffalo Bills, the Steelers had a mostly clean bill of health aside from the players on IR. The only one on the injury report was outside linebacker, Alex Highsmith who was limited this week with a groin injury. As of today however, he has been cleared from the injury report, and is good to go for the opener Sunday:

The Steelers have removed Alex Highsmith from having any injury designation. He's a full go for Sunday. #Steelers #dkps

This is huge news for the team, who is going to need all the help they can get defensively against an extremely talented Buffalo offense led by Pro Bowl quarterback, Josh Allen. Highsmith’s health is great news in addition to the signing and now definite playing of his All-Pro teammate, TJ Watt, who was in the middle of an in-house hold out while the negotiations of his now-signed contract was being worked out. Highsmith is expected to take a big year 2 leap. The pair of Highsmith and Watt along with veteran free agent addition, Melvin Ingram will look to give Buffalo as much pressure as they can tomorrow in the opener!

One of two things is going to happen… TJ is going to have a monster game and be a frontrunner for dpoy or he will get hammered by the press and fans for even an average game because of the halfhearted hold out…
