AB just had insane body control. Unfortunately I don't think they can be taught. Jerry Rice wasn't a burner, but had good change of direction and was smart. We have heard rumors why Wilson wasn't playing, but don't know for sure. Wilson was good in preseason so it is hard to say what happened. It is good he is seeking outside advice, but I don't think the route god is the right moveAntonio Brown was THE route GOD. Effortless change of direction
I still believe no wide receiver was more fluid and displayed effortless talent, then Lynn Swann..
Yeah, I know that was a long time ago… but I still remember..
I prefer the pumpernickel/rye bread combo..Pepperidge Farms makes good pumpernickel bread.
One thing Roman has for him is his hands. He can catch some tough throws and has above average contested catching ability for his size and he has above average speed/quickness. I would love to see him take the route running down or whatever it is that has kept him from seeing the field more together. I appreciate the work he is putting in here and hopefully he is working more this offseason. He’s gonna have a hard time making the team this year…
But I agree he does need the practice.
He got off to such a ****** start with us hopefully he can step in and make a run we need a killer slot he has all the tools to be the best slot in the NFL
Agreed… definitely a big reach to draft him where they did, or for that matter, drafting him at all.Holy crap
Pass that loud
What brings you to that conclusion?
Dude is marginal to meh in every aspect of the game thus far…a decent college player for the system he was in BUT he’d have to vastly improve many facets just to be mid.
The best thing that happened for Wilson, in my opinion, was Tomlin leaving. Now Wilson is out of the Tomlin young player dog house, can work his butt off this offseason, and start over with a new coaching staff to prove he belongs. I hope he shows out and becomes a solid receiver for the Steelers. The kid got there to the third round at a big school. If he puts in the time and the scheme puts him in decent position to succeed, he still has a chance.
Wilson is athletic and can jump. He made two great catches for TDs last season jumping over the defender in traffic to catch the ball. He was better than some of the WRs the team kept running out there last season. Tomlin simply would not play him just like many others before him once firmly entrenched in the "dog house".One thing Roman has for him is his hands. This.......and maybe they will consider throwing over the middle where a player like him csn make his bread. The best thing that happened for Wilson, in my opinion, was Tomlin leaving.
