It’s been 21 years of Heinz Field. Another name for the stadium just wouldn’t seem right. It seems whenever a stadium changes it’s name that the old name still sticks among fans regardless. Especially if it’s something like Arrow Head being renamed GeHa Field, or Jacobs Field changing to Progressive Field.

There original naming rights for Heinz Field ended prior to 2021, but in the mist of the pandemic Kraft/Heinz and the Steelers agreed on a one year extension. Now it’s time for a new longer term agreement to happen, or for the Steelers to pursue other avenues.

Steelers President Art Rooney II spoke with WXPI’s Jenna Harner and asked him about the naming rights.

Does Art Rooney II see Stephon Tuitt, here in Pittsburgh, as a member of the Steelers next season?

"We don't know at this point where Stephon is going to be and what his ability to compete for a position here next season is going to be. We've left the door open." pic.twitter.com/gl2ffw9bBp

Other options that could have interest in the naming rights could be UPMC, or Rivers Casino.

What would you want to see the field be named if Heinz doesn’t renew?
