Rooney to announce something tomorrow.

Ben will rejoin the team as a consultant/QB coach/player. and whipping boy.

"I just wanted to clear the air" says Art Rooney II, "We are so happy to bring back a living legend"

Art Duece was quoted by several news sources including Cosmopolitan Magazine.

Salute the nation

"**** Ogre"
/Rooney

"We have mismanaged the drafting of Offensive lineman so horribly, that my dad dug his way out of the grave and walked across West Allegheny, just to kick me in the cooter and call me a Jagoff." ~ Art Rooney II

With the greatest of regrets, we’re moving to West Virginia and the team will now be owned and operated by Mr. Bob Nutting.
Sorry boys, I couldn’t resist! It was getting kind of serious around here.

Boy did they screw up the article in the Post Gazette "...the Steelers will hold a ceremony the day before the game at a marker that sits outside Acrisure Stadium commemorating the exact spot where Harris caught the pass that deflected off running back Frenchy Fuqua and beat the Oakland Raiders". If it deflected off Fuqua it wouldn't have been a legal catch - the official position is that it deflected off Jack Tatum, amIright?

As long as Tatum touched it at some point before Franco caught it, it would have been legal whether or not Fuqua had touched it. I've always said that there was no possible way that ball could have gone the direction and velocity it did without Tatum touching it.

Exactly. I’ve always said the same thing. Because physics.

I'm going out on a limb. Its Greg Williams, the new owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers! Worry not Steeler fans he grew up a Steeler fan in the 1960's. Oh he owns a little company called Acrisure. He makes Art Rooney look like a poor boy. Connecting the dots. Rooney II has been checking out for years
Wrong...

Man that would’ve been a shot in the dark hope event, buying out Nutting’s stranglehold of the Pirates. But he would have said no like he did to Mario a decade ago.

Nutting has totally been the Anti-Christ for the Pittsburgh Pirates. I grew up going out to Forbes Field watching he Bucs and was always proud of the team and loved sitting in right field with my friends right behind the great one. The great teams of the 70's but all that is a distant memory with this carpetbagger as the owner. I think the only way to get rid of owners like this is have a cap floor that teams have to spend a minimum. They have to make a substantial investment and take a great part of the money they make from MLB and spend it on the roster. That way you most likely force guys like this out who only care about bottom line, how much they make. Winning takes a back seat.

It’s going to take a significant more than ownership change. MLB is broken. Unless they get a commissioner that has the balls to take on the MLBPU and the big 3 owners nothing will change. If Nutting is bought out, the next owner would still have to compete with NY, LAD and BOS and their disapportional revenue streams. MLB would do fine to get a Pete Rozzelle type Commish to separate the have/have-nots to Have One. Bud Selig, and to an extent Fay Vincent, set the game back 50 years under their watch. MLB would probably be in an better state had Bart Giamatti lived.
