As much as I like the fact that the Rooneys don't get involved with running the franchise and admire the patience they have with the coaches and players. Enough is enough already! They should be expecting more out of this team instead of just being average. Believe it or not I think they are very content with the position of this team right now. They have a 8-8 team and for them that seems good enough. They don't aspire to win a Super Bowl but are fine being competitive. If they aspired to be more than that they would have replaced Tomlin a long time ago! Mikey boy will be replaced and one day he will go to another team that won't be so patient and his LEGEND will just fall further and further into the muck! So blame the Goonies if you really wanna blame someone because ultimately they are the TOP of the food chain!

I have not been a fan of Tomlin over the years but I want to see how he handles this football team post Ben. Can he get this team to play at a higher lever this year? Can he weather the storm of losing TJ? Can he win without Ben? Can he develop Kenny Pickett enough to have ready to replace Mitch if injured or ineffective? I don’t think Tomlin is this horrible HC but don’t think he’s this great coach the media makes him out to be. I think he’s an average coach who benefited over the years of having a franchise QB and lots of talent on offense like Lev Bell, AB, Martavis, Heath, etc.I also think he did his best coaching job in 2019 when he lost Ben.
I’m waiting to see how he handles 2022 and btw Rooney is not firing Tomlin ever imo. Mikes next move is in the TV booth.
I will add this, Tomlin most certainly does live in his fears. All you had to do was watch that offense Sunday where Mitch was more a game manager playing not to lose. Looked just like last years offense.

Meh. I haven't bought any merchandise from the nfl for over a decade. I use to get to a few games a year. Stipped thougb.... but this year I got tickets to the Raiders game. I am not a big Tomlin fan but liked that he beat a team coming off a SB appearance in their home. So he gets kudos for that.

I was super happy with the win on their turf. I was NOT happy with how some of their fans treated my daughter because she had on Steelers clothing back in 2016. Screw them - they deserve a shitpile and more.

Tomlin isn't bad coach, I think he is a good coach. I do not think he is a great coach. Great coaches win more than three playoff games in eleven years and none in the last six years. It's easy to name 20 coaches who are worse but you can't name 10 who are better.

Team's playoff performance has gotten worse and worse as Cowher's players and staff retired or moved on.
8 to 10 wins and a wild card playoff loss is his ceiling unless he gets a little bit of luck and runs into a backup QB in the playoffs.
