Round 1 Discussion Thread

Yeah, barron is definitely moving to the dimebacker spot, now we don't need to draft a SS, still need a backup FS though

I’m not mad, I just don’t like it. I hope I’m wrong (and everybody is mostly wrong about he draft) but I posted earlier today that the only player I’d trade into the top 10 for was White and nobody objected. Where were the Bush fans then? The value in this draft is second and third round and the Steelers just gave that up.

Nelson is a pretty good upgrade over Sensabaugh and Burns.

They can package one of their #3's and a 4th and 5th to get back into round 2 if they wanted, and still have a 3rd

That second and the acquired third aren't that far off. Plus they could still move up in 2 if desired. Never needed 10 picks anyways.

Should be able to find an attractive slot corner in 3 or 4 or 5 even....

We can still trade up to the 2nd, we have enough picks left, perhaps our early 3rd and a 6th to move up. That would give us a second and the original 3rd we have left.

I think we could have gotten a starting CB in the 1st and a starting Safety in the 2nd.

ILB was a need but I don't think it was as big a need as a DB that can make INTs or a pass rusher that can actually rush the passer.
