I feel that every QB should have to declare before the game if they want to be treated as a runner or a pocket passer. If they say they are a passer then the whistle blows whenever a defender gets a solid grasp on him. More like the old in the grasp rules.

If they want to be able to break tackles and run the ball then they should be treated like runners. Make them declare if they want the special treatment or not.

I also think they should get rid of the rule where you can throw the ball away so long as you are out of the pocket. It should be a sack. The defense won. If you want to avoid the sack then you better risk a throw near a receiver. Otherwise let the defense get the win they deserve.

I feel that if they leave the pocket it's all bets off, either get rid of the ball, go down or get blasted. Defenders are in a damn if you do damn if you don't when it comes to the QB
