Schedule release Thursday, May 12

Not too bad. Made the playoffs last year with a terrible o-line. Hopefully this year with an improved line and the return of Tuitt and/or Alualu....who knows what they might do with this schedule. 10 win season???

Pittsburgh will have the following teams on their home schedule for the 2022 season: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Las Vegas Raiders, New England Patriots, New York Jets, New Orleans Saints, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.


The Steelers will travel to play the following away schedule for the 2022 season: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Atlanta Falcons, Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, and Philadelphia Eagles.
 
Sorry, I much prefer the 4:25 starts.
 
I would imagine we will be looking at a lot of 1 pm games. Without Ben, I wonder how much of a draw we will be for prime time games. Being the Steelers usually accounts for a couple of prime time games, though.
 
I think the CBA only allows 5 prime time games per team. I think we will end up with 3 but flexed into prime at least once.

Like BLITZ, I want those divisional games split up a little and not home / away or monday night game to short weak favor any in the division unless it's the STEELERS because they always seem to get the short end of the stick consistently

Don't know about that season opener at home. Pirates are at home that weekend. I realize it won't be a huge crowd but Sunday day games will draw some folks and it's the Cardinals who's fans travel well. Doubt they schedule the Steelers at home, again.

Do you think the NFL cares about the Pirates? I don’t. Unless the Steelers put in a request to be on the road week one it should be free game.
 
The NFL always take that into consideratiin throughout the country. At least in the past, Sundays are often giveaway days with families coming to the ball park. Even with a crowd of 15,000 that has a huge impact on traffic control and parking especially when steeler fans depend on the parking that is reserved for Pirate season ticket holders and used by patrons from both venues.
 
Even when it's a football stadium and basketball arena in close proximity, It's unavoidable at times especially with playoffs but it creates a strain on the local police departments, employees who sometimes work both venues etc.

The NFL will feed all major league baseball schedules into the computer of teams that play in the same proximity of NFL teams and it greatly influences the schedule. It's not set in stone and the Steelers have not had a home opener in a while, they could give them the Sunday night game or Monday. Who knows.
 
ALL of our games are being played in the Eastern Time Zone. ALL 17 of them. So if we’re not a prime time game, we should be 1pm start.

Because they signed a third baseman with no power to an eight-year extension for his wonderful glove -- yet he's currently tied for second in the majors for the most errors at his position.

Maybe because we do, I've liked the Pirates my entire life, since about 8 years old. Once I found Pittsburgh and the STEELERS it wasn't long and

I became everything PITTSBURGH.

YES, even the 2 time champions Women's football team / Caroline in the city / tom cruise movie as they all have a common denominator......................

Amongst many other reasons as well.........................

The owner isn't making easy on fans. I have a diehard in this household that doesn't watch it anymore and she used to watch it all the time. Beautiful stadium, always worth a trip. But as far as being competitive the owner well sucks.

Can’t really say the owner sucks if it’s intentional. It’s a fraud and has been for a couple decades. I can’t believe people still buy ticket packages to Pirates games.

Many reasons...
Grew up about 3 miles from 3 rivers stadium
Watched them win the Series on 71 & 79 as a boy and teenager..
Memorized with Roberto Clemente the first time I watched him in person at Forbes Field.
Wilver Dornell Stargell - aka...Pops
Watched in person as The Candy Man tossed a no-no at 3 -Rivers..
Listened the The Gunner on many summer nights on the front stoop of my childhood home..."theres a bug on the rug!"...
Still have my Green Weiney!

I can for hours.....
 
Hopefully all 1 PM with a few 4:25 games. I hate night games.
