Scientists admit climate models are junk

The drought in 1934 was much worse, and so was the one in the 1580. How does man made global warming explain any of that?

That does it Chuck, I'm tellin' on your *** for bein' a dad blamed denier. They are comin to arrest you, put you in jail and throw away the key..

"Man-made climate change happens. Man-made climate change kills a lot of people. It's going to kill a lot more. We have laws on the books to punish anyone whose lies contribute to people's deaths. It's time to punish the climate-change liars".

This is an argument that's just being discussed seriously in some circles. It was laid out earlier this month, with all the appropriate caveats, by Lawrence Torcello, a philosophy professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology.

It never fails. At some point, the mask slips among the “tolerant” members of academia and we are exposed to their real controlling and authoritarian face. Over the past few weeks there have been two good examples of this. Now we have an assistant professor of philosophy at the Rochester Institute of Technology who would like to see those who disagree with him on climate change put in jail. Apparently freedom of thought and speech and the right to disagree are outdated concepts as well.

Jus kiddin' Chuck, you're in good company.

Of course the reason he’s so upset is this new fangled thing called the internet has enabled anyone who is curious about the climate debate to actually see both sides of the argument layed out before them. For the alarmists, that has inconveniently helped a majority of people realize that the science behind the alarmism is weak at best and fraudulent in some cases. It has also helped them understand that the alarmist science that Torcello wants enshrined as “truth” was gathered from deeply flawed computer models and fudged data. And, it has also let the voices of dissenting scientists be heard. Finally, this ability for the public to weigh the arguments has found most of the public viewing climate change as a minor problem at best.

It's true. I am a denier, and soon to be subject to some sort of legal action, judging by the rising background noise. Remember when Loretta Lynch talked about applying RICO laws to deniers? Yeah, this election isn't important at all..

That could be the straw that breaks the camels back. It could finally cause the upheaval that leads to CW2 or a new American Revolution.

So 1580 - that would based on tree rings, not actual rainfall measurement records.
Too funny. Doesn't line up with AGW so you take issue with it, even though Ms. Woodhouse bends over backwards to comment that future droughts could even be worse with global warming. But they haven't been. Because it doesn't exist.

http://www.acwa.com/news/climate-change/tree-rings-show-prolonged-droughts-california’s-distant-past

Researchers from the University of Arizona studied tree rings in California to reconstruct stream flows in the basins as far back as a thousand years. A drought may create a very narrow growth ring compared to a normal year. The study of tree ring data is called dendrochronology.

The reconstructions show numerous periods of four or more years when stream flows were below normal, and the most severe periods — the 1100s, 1570 to the 1580s and the 1920s-‘30s Dust Bowl era — lasted for decades.

According to the researchers, the single driest year of record in the Sacramento and San Joaquin basins was 1580, while the driest year in the Klamath River basin was 1655.

“These tree-ring records document the range of drought characteristics, including duration, that have occurred in the past, under natural climate variability. These droughts could occur in the future, but under warmer temperatures that will further exacerbate their impacts,” said report co-author Connie Woodhouse, professor and interim head of the University of Arizona School of Geography and Development, about the possible impact of future climate change.

LOL! I am neither an AGW alarmist or denier. I'm not a climatologist, I don't pretend to know who is right.

I just find it amusing that a AGW denier would respect the science of tree circles.

You think this science is on par with global warming crap? Fine. Take it up with the California Department of Water Resources. Doesn't seem controversial to me, demonstrated high correlations (unlike climate models), but I am happy to not give a **** about it. The point is that there have been much worse droughts than now, before even your actual rainfall measurements were available.

wtf???

Navy sets new climate change rules for vendors

The Navy will become the first branch of the military to require big vendors to report their greenhouse gas emissions and to outline what they are doing to lower them in response to global warming.

The Navy will not immediately begin implementing the requirements, which could cut off vendors from receiving contracts unless they comply.

No doubt the Chicoms and Russkies will be following the same "save the planet" war plans....holy ****, the brass is up to it's *** in kissing *** for funds.... hook, line and sinker

Nice to see at least one wing of our military that is on the right side of history. Hopefully others will follow suit.

Agenda driven warships - no wonder Putin is laughing

While the announcement did not commit the Navy to rejecting products with high emissions, it follows the lead of the General Services Administration which in 2015 began to require its vendors to report carbon emissions and aim for lower targets. It was the first federal agency to establish this requirement.

What is the Navy doing about emissions from their Blue Angles jets? How about don't use them if you're going to be an *** about this crap.

I don't believe for a minute that the military is behind any of this. What it's about is which Branch has the pressure applied the hardest first. I believe they are all loosening their belts while waiting their turn on the barrel.

Yeah we can get ya that model......but it's gonna cost ya.

S'all right, 9 more months and our 8 year national nightmare will be over. President Trump will fix it.
See, that's the danger of moving your agenda forward using the regulatory apparatus instead of laws passed by Congress. The next President can undo your stuff and especially one who doesn't give a **** about being called a racist for doing so.

He better hurry, the bad guys are makin' moves as we speak and Exxon Mobile is the first to be targeted.

The New York attorney general has begun an investigation of Exxon Mobil to determine whether the company lied to the public about the risks of climate change or to investors about how such risks might hurt the oil business.

According to people with knowledge of the investigation, Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman issued a subpoena Wednesday evening to Exxon Mobil, demanding extensive financial records, emails and other documents.

The investigation focuses on whether statements the company made to investors about climate risks as recently as this year were consistent with the company’s own long-running scientific research.

HOUSTON, April 15 (Reuters) - A coalition of U.S. state attorneys general received guidance from well-known climate scientists and environmental lawyers in March as some of them opened investigations into Exxon Mobil for allegedly misleading the public about climate change risks, documents seen by Reuters showed.

California’s attorney general is investigating Exxon Mobil on whether the company lied to the public and shareholders about the risks of climate change, and whether the company’s statements over the years constitute violations of securities laws and other statutes.

The investigation is similar to one started in November by the New York attorney general, Eric T. Schneiderman, for which the company has already produced thousands of documents.

ExxonMobil Corp. sued to block a subpoena issued last month by the attorney general of the U.S. Virgin Islands seeking almost 40 years of documents on climate change.

In his demand for records, Virgin Islands Attorney General Claude Walker said Exxon may have violated the territory's anti-racketeering law, defrauding the government and consumers with the company's statements on climate change. It is the first time a prosecutor has cited racketeering law to probe Exxon over its longtime denial of climate change and its products' role in it, according to legal authorities.

I'll give them Libtards credit, they know how to bring the heat, even if there's no fire.

Looks like this needs to be repeated 'till the end of time. Global warming, ie climate change does not mean simply it's gonna be hot all the time and never be cold ever again. It means the weather systems are affected in many subtle ways, causing strange, unexpected weather. On the one hand, we're seeing the sixth straight month of highest average temps in history. On the other hand, we're seeing blizzards in Denver in mid April. Every time a climate change denier posts something about how cold it is - ha ha, climate change is a joke, ha ha - a little kitten gets drowned in a bucket of water somewhere in heaven. Proceed with caution.

Right.

A hoax that then neo-socialist left is using to dupe the sheep. This is a political act by Ray Mabus the Secretary of the Navy that has forced the Marines to put females in the infantry.

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” - Goebbels.

See my issue is with the data manipulation... So we hear "Higher temps" bla bla bla, but then when we look at how they get those numbers its limited, selective, and biased representation.... Same with the co2 estimates... And their methods of data gathering are so suspect.. The models will never work because the data is all wrong... I mean if i tried to pass off some of the methods they use in a compliance test id be in jail right now...

The warmists are just like the catholic church dealing with Galileo

"The science is settled", "We have all the knowledge we need, heretics will not be tolerated"

Assuming you know everything is not how science works.

Assuming you know everything is not how science works.
Assuming climate change data and facts are manipulated, the result of a nefarious, world-wide conspiracy and dismissed out of hand - is also not how science works.
