Seems like there is another last chance Brexit deal every month

The Brits can now elect their own Trump!

hahahahahaha

Conservative Party: New PM to be in post by end of July

Four MPs have announced they will run for the leadership so far: Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt, former foreign secretary Boris Johnson, former work and pensions secretary Esther McVey and International Development Secretary Rory Stewart.

Boris Johnson could be in Number 10 by the summer

It has never been hard to make the case for Boris Johnson as Tory leader. He’s a proven winner who was twice elected mayor of London, a Labour city. He supplied energy and optimism to the Vote Leave campaign – qualities that the Tories need rather badly now. In an era when exasperated voters seek mould-breaking politicians, he is the best candidate to present the Conservatives as force for change. In fact, he might be the only candidate able to do so.

They do things differently over there, for sure

Tory leadership: Who gets to choose the UK's next prime minister?

It's a two-stage process. The first sees votes among Conservative MPs designed to whittle the contenders down to just two front-runners. The second stage sees the party's grassroots members choose between them in a postal ballot.

In other words, it is members of the public - those who pay £25 a year to join the Conservative Party - who get the final say on who the next prime minister is.

There will not be a general election because the party is already in power.

Awesome.

A guy with a Soviet first name is the likely leader to unglue Brits from the Euro-trash/elites so that they can concentrate on Sharia law problems with their overly empowered Muslim citizens.

This should work out just fine.

No wonder that show with the fake British accents picked a wheelchair bound dude who just stares a lot between psychotropic visions as their king, branding him as Broken. It makes more sense.

Wait till Trump starts asking her about the Steele report, lol

PRESIDENT Donald Trump's state visit to the UK set for 3 June

He will be staying here for three days in total and will be greeted at Buckingham Palace gardens as part of a special ceremony for visiting US Presidents.

During his stay he will meet many members of the royal family including the Queen, the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex.

There will also be a meeting with Prime Minister Theresa May before she steps down from her position on 7 June. Mr Trump and his wife will be guests of the Queen to attend a ceremony on 5 June in Portsmouth to mark 75 years since the D-Day landings.

After leaving the UK, Mr Trump and Melania will head to France for D-Day anniversary events on 6 June.

We also know that he will be meeting with the prime minister at Downing Street. It is quite traditional for state visits to include meetings between the visitor and the prime minister, government ministers and leaders of the main political parties

Nice to see Boris playing hardball with the pantywaist globalists in Brussels, with the blessing of her highness to boot. Only gives the remainers a couple days to try and stop the hard leave. This should be a much better show than anything coming from the dims here.

Though I am for Brexit, I am not for Borris suspending Parliament. That's setting a very dangerous precedent. I don't like it. While I get it that the UK has its share of problems, he is the prime minister, not the emperor.

I'm beginning to think that economics among the very top rulers of the world ( Trump, Putin, Abe, Johnson ) are far closer aligned than meets the eye and are realizing that if they don't stop the globalists/socialists now, it will be too late.

Apparently there is another last chance Brexit showdown coming up. Must be exhausting over there.

Reminds me of the 2000 election when the Democrats wanted to keep recounting votes until Al Gore won.

Hey, I heard there is another last chance Brexit vote coming up in a week.

Look at it this way ... England voted to exit the EU more than four months before Donald Trump won the election. Yes, it has been that long.

Brexit: Boris Johnson signs withdrawal agreement in Downing Street

The prime minister hailed a "fantastic moment" for the country after he put his name to the historic agreement, which paves the way for the UK's exit from the European Union next Friday.

He said he hoped it would "bring to an end far too many years of argument and division".

Sounds like it's probably great thing that will have more people hoping that the Brexit thing will actually happen. At some point. After some undetermined and unending next steps..

But they didn't vote the "right" way so the government had to keep having more votes on it. Same reason Trump is being impeached now, the stupid people in flyover country elected the wrong President.

Uh oh... after the impeachment acquittal we now know what is next for the MSM and their "sky is falling" rhetoric.

January 31st is going to be Y2K for the global economy.... LOL

Brexit Eve. Congratulations Britain. Your return to self governance will be well received throughout the globe. Your future is more golden than you know. Congrats to the deplorable middle class all over the UK. The real winners in all of this.

ICYMI...there was an amazing article written by James Delingpole posted yesterday on Breitbart, (sorry Tibs, learning is a lifelong endeavour).

Being delusional is an essential prerequisite of being pro-EU: you need to believe, really believe, in stuff that simply doesn’t exist. You need to see rewards where in fact there are only costs; you need to see harmony where there exists only dodgy horse trading and shady back room deals and outrageous stitch ups; you need to fantasise about economic advantages when actually all there is is a rules-laden, bureaucratic nightmare of an ailing, protectionist trading bloc fast going down the pan as it is eclipsed by the new growth economies of Asia, South America and Africa; and crushed, of course, by Donald Trump’s U.S. which refuses to be bound by its suicidal green energy strictures.

Well worth a read. https://www.breitbart.com/europe/20...as-britains-colditz-how-great-to-be-escaping/

Haven't checked yet for a Jonathan Pie rant on all of this, hoping Burgundy gives us an update soon.

This will be Yuge. We'll see the U.K. dealing with The Donald as a priority over the EU, and the people of the EU will be even more restless. For you libs out there, the reason this is great is that it will underline the weakness of the collective versus individual interests.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

It's the 4th of July for Britain

I was surprised to hear an interview on the radio this morning that this ends 47 years of England being in the EU - they first joined in 1973. Wow, 47 years of favoring Europe over England, immigrants over English citizens, multi-culturalism over British history, an alphabet soup of languages over English.

Ending that stupidity sounds like a good idea to me. Wonder if America has found a politician willing to follow that path?? I can only imagine what the open-borders, globalist, immigrant-worshiping, America-hating, English language despising (D)ims would do to him ...
