Seething liberals vow revolution in Democratic Party

.... while conservative is just shorthand for " closed-minded knuckle-dragging Neanderthal that can't get over the fact that the '50's ended a long time ago that can't understand that not everyone wants to live by their "principles" that they get from their first century book of Jewish fairytales written by a bunch of nomadic desert dwellers that thought the best way to ensure a good harvest was to bleed a goat on a smooth rock and the best way to keep a building from falling down was to bury a child alive under its foundation.

Preach on. That's. the REAL gospel.

They'll just come out and say they're not even religious (lie) so they don't get cornered.

That and "some of my best friends are black" are two S.N. CONservative favorites.

Anti-Intellectual means not accepting it when some Neo-socialist hack tells you some convoluted explanation of why you are a racist simply for being white, why you are greedy for wanting to keep the money you earn and why the government can make better decisions on raising your kids than you can.

Look I agree with this. I obviously don't think you get 4 states of people to vote for you that have not voted a certain way for YEARS and that automatically makes them racist. That's so ridiculous. It has nothing to do with that. I'm not talking about the will of most people. I'm talking about the undereducated people on both sides of this who are manipulated and who go for the easy way out. I'm pissed off that Hillary Clinton had the ****** nerve to blame her loss on Comey and the FBI. I'm angry that minority voters didn't give Bernie Sanders more of a chance and just fell in line with the DNC. The people in the midwest were like **** that. But people have to take a step back and understand that while they personally aren't that kind of individual that the ideology that they decide to align themselves with has people that are. I've seen people sit here and legitimately say that President Obama isn't qualified for his job and the man is a Harvard Law Graduate and was the head of the Harvard Law review and a professor of constitutional law. I've seen people discredit that because they just don't like him politically. Then there is all the climate change denial. And the religious zealotry. That has happened more often in conservative circles. We're all ****** if we fall in line with that thinking. You can't even bring facts to some of these people without them throwing it back in your face. Then you have your liberals who want to pretend that the middle of the country is just full of idiots and bigots. When I say anti intellectualism I'm talking about the resistance to change and the refusal to grow and learn. The refusal to seek out new information and process it productively. Certain people will hang on to their beliefs no matter how out of touch and how dangerous they are and they will try to apply this thinking over and over and over to every situation no matter what. Both liberal and conservatives are guilty of this but its more prevalent in conservative circles because the people doing the manipulating only have to speak to less diverse demographics.

oh it's a 'color war' alright

RED POWER!

Bernie couldn't win ONE red state anywhere in the South and he wouldn't even go there to campaign AT ALL

Hillary swept the floor with him in Southern states, just like Trump did her.

Lily white states are all Bernie could ever win for a good reason, blacks wouldn't vote for a screaming bitter old white socialist.

Spike called the Trump victory all along, when most others here called it wrong. The majority of bullshit showing up on SN.com was coming from the left....and continues.

Top center.

Rioting is so easy a caveman can do it.

I'm wondering if there is an underlying reason they are pissed over Donalds election...the fact that Hillary won't be there to pay for their college education.

1. Most are being paid to protest.
2. It wouldn't matter which Republican won, they would be doing the same things and saying that we're the Klan.

So within your condemnation of closed minded people, you spend most of your time making fun of a group of people.

Here's your sign.......

Of course, no media coverage about this

Marchers Chant 'Kill the Police' During Anti-Trump Protest

Seven people were arrested and two police officers received minor injuries during an anti-Trump rally in Indianapolis Saturday evening. Three of those arrested were not from Indy.

One group stopped at the corner of Washington and Illinois streets. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said at that point, protesters started chanting threats, such as, "Kill the police."

Police decided to arrest two of the instigators. That's when police said some protesters started throwing rocks at officers. IMPD Chief Troy Riggs said they received reports of protesters who had brought backpacks full of rocks. Around that time, police fired their non-lethal weapon.

I would say the upper reaches of government is dominated by people who graduated from Harvard and Yale and what has that gotten us? He isn't qualified for His job because He was a one-term state senator and served less than one term in the U.S. Senate. His experience in the private sector is next to zero. In His book he said that during His brief time working in an investment bank He felt like he was in enemy territory.
Meantime Trump has run a multi-billion dollar company for decades and graduated from Wharton.

The two parties both have huge issues coming up, but the Dems are in a far more unfavorable position. This has been a LONG time in coming, but they did get a reprieve when Obama won when he did.
Clintonnomic globalism failed their base miserably. The party has been over-reliant on the Clinton model and their inner circle for too long. The issue is since Bernie and his socialist revolution were the ones to challenge them, they are going to get to reshape the party going forward, and lets face it, the vast majority of the middle will reject how far left they will drive the agenda just like they reject the extreme right…
Democratic fundamentalists wont accept that now, for sure… they will rile on about how Bernie woulda won… how the democratic socialist agenda can win in America, and their ideals will be accepted by the middle, but just like with trump they will be wrong….

But that isn’t the bigger problem…. That is they have lost the local government at the state level and there is no real hope for them ever getting it back… the redistricting has been biased in the repubs favor to an extreme level…this has put the house out of their reach for decades perhaps.

Even moreso the Clinton model was always about getting control of the supreme court and using activist judges to drive policy… Although any judge can die or step down at any time, the next few immediate ones will almost certainly be from the liberal block, since they are the oldest. One or two conservative judges appointed puts that out of their reach for a very long time.
Finally, the senate, which is their best hop of regaining power, is in an unideal election phase right now… the next election has more dems than repubs up for grabs by almost a 5 to 1 ratio. The republicans are mostly from safe areas as well… its highly unlikely they get a majority back for years even with displeasure for Trumpian policies and behavior.

Then you have the issue of democratic voters absconding. A few percentages of dem hardcores leaving the country could skew the numbers very bad, but worse if somehow California did get the supreme court ruling reversed and left the union, well the national elections would be undoubtable skewed in the republicans favor almost uncontrollably.
The only real bright spot is if DC does get to be a state, the dems pick up some seats there, but for that to get through a republican congress would be, well hard I guess…

Look the Republicans took a long term look at things and set much of this in motion… they have a whole other set of issues heading their way, but for now I fear one party control might not be a one or two year thing….

Hollywood's Ridiculous War on the Electoral College

In the wake of president-elect Donald Trump's dramatic victory, many of the more outspoken left-leaning journalists, mainstream media pundits, and entrenched politicians have now placed in their sights the Electoral College.

Having the distinct feel of a coordinated campaign, mainstream outlets have flooded the media landscape with attacks on the time-honored process embodied in the U.S. Constitution.

— The New York Times recently published a piece titled "The Electoral College Is Hated by Many. So Why Does It Endure?"

— The Baltimore Sun featured an editorial titled "Ditch the Electoral College? Yes we can."

— Forbes floated an analysis titled "Don't Blame Pollsters. Blame The Electoral College."

— The Nation published a piece titled "The Electoral College Has To Go."

— And following the all too frequently used template of liberal provocateurs, Slate put out an incendiary race-based article titled "The Electoral College Is an Instrument of White Supremacy."

Now, in what appears to be perpetual political warfare on the part of radical liberals, some of the Left Coast's most celebrated foot soldiers are attempting to manipulate the public by raising the issues of the Electoral College's validity and relevance, and the potential to circumvent the constitutionally defined process.
