I find it to be incredibly disturbing how quickly and easily young people are not just triggered to violence, but deadly violence. I believe a lot of it stems from kids not knowing how to deal with crisis. Look around. Young people these days need coloring books, counselors and therapy animals because someone of a different political persuasion said something they were told they should disagree with. Any time kids have an issue, mom and dad run to the rescue. Unfortunately, it has lead to kids snapping and killing themselves and others over a video game. Life in America as an adult is a cold ugly place at times. Kids should be taught this fact, and not coddled and told they are special and winners when not everyone gets to be an astronaut.

their value of life is zilch. They don't have the intelligence, patience or common sense to talk anything out rationally. It's just easier to pull out a gun and end the argument or disagreement. With video games and social media, they don't know how to communicate. Their heads are buried into their devices and any real world experience is severly lacking.

My "step daughter", who lives with her bf, has no job, stays in her apt while he works because she "doesn't know how to talk to people" and makes her deathly uncomfortable to be around anyone. She plays video games all day. Doesn't drive. She is a waste to society, but her and her bf thinks she is normal to live like this. I couldn't imagine being a hermit with nothing to show in my life and at 26 y.o. SMH My wife harps on her to get a job, a life and she blows her off, so she washes her hands of her.

My roommate is the same way, with the one exception being that he works at Sam's Club. He is 27. When not running late for work, he can be found staying up all night pretending to be a fairy in an online video game and then sleeping until 6 in the evening, or eating one of the 14 frozen pizzas he keeps in the fridge at all times while watching some bizarre "cutting edge" hentai cartoon on Netflix or hulu or whatever. Dude never cooks, never cleans, never socializes with anyone outside of that online video game. Basically, he lives in the basement and I live in the upstairs. Any money he makes goes right back into his computer or buying tools he never uses.

This living arrangement was a temporary thing until I can get my house sold and my wife moved up here next spring. It is a really sweet deal, so on one hand it is kind of hard to complain, but the dude is a little strange. Nice enough, but strange.

i play games online, and people are crazy. You can't even play co-op games without people throwing insults. Playing madden against others can be frustrating. People figure out the money plays and use them over and over, but to go out and kill people over it is ridiculous.

And this has NOTHING to do with gun control. Nothing to do with race. Nothing to do with video games. This is all about anger management and our country's obsession with protecting people from their emotions (either by society "rules" or drugs or both) and therefore people don't know how to handle their emotions in a healthy way.

It's like as a society we are working so hard not to make people angry, rather than teach people how to deal with getting angry. And that is ***-backwards.

Exactly. There is a lot of that going on just because of the way things are these days. We used to have to figure out all kinds of **** on our own in the lab of real life without any grownups around. These days, not so much.

I used to play Madden online. Last time was the 2017 game year. Playing online is awful sometimes. First, you never know who is on the other end. I play Madden a lot, and I am not great, but pretty good I guess. If you are laying the smoke on somebody, most people will just disconnect and find someone they can beat. If you are losing to someone, the **** talking against you is endless. If you find someone that actually stays connected when losing, and you beat them, well, I have been threatened, told my family would be killed, just some of the most vile **** you can imagine.

Call of Duty and other shooter games are even worse. There, you get **** talked by kids, like 10-12 year olds. They are worse than the adults, how vile they are.

So I stopped. Not worth it. Every now and again, I will pop in Madden and play a game on All Madden level against the computer. Mostly I take a ****** team and try and beat a good team. Better than playing online.

The ban guns **** has already started. I laughed in my friend's face when he told me that Libs don't want confiscation, they want regulation. I asked him what hasn't been regulated? I have been in New York for 15 months. I am still waiting for approval for my pistol permit and concealed carry that applied and tested for 14 and 1/2 months ago. Never mind that I have a valid, active clearance thanks to a back ground check where they crawl up yours and your family's ***** for six months. Plus, I work with a variety of standard and SOF-P semi-automatic and automatic weapons, pistols, grenade launchers, recoilless rifles and artillery on a daily basis. Yet I am waiting over a year for some bureaucrat that has probably never seen a gun, much less fired one or field stripped it. How much more regulation do you need?

A lot of it is into social media which for the most part is anything but social. Some of the nastiest crap is on Facebook. They have thousands of elfpigs trolling daily. Most with bs accounts. The youth of this country have zero life skills,are fat and out of shape....aaaand they're embracing socialism as a means to continue being a worthless sloth.

Facebook is getting scarier and scarier. There are some people, friends and family, that I would never associated with, if I knew how unhinged they are and have become. I mean Political 24/7, 99% of their posts. True colors come out all over social media.
Some comments of stories on the local news pages are the worse. I'm amazed how disgusting some people are. No filter. English is terrible. Swearing worse than truck drivers(no offense) and the hate is unfounded. These people are walking amoung us? Scary.

If I could like this post a thousand times I would. Accurately and concisely sums up the social media crisis as I call it. And it absolutely ties into how people think about government and personal responsibility & accountability 100%. That's why we're seeing Socialism on the horizon as a possibility for this country and it scares (or should scare) the **** out of people.
