Patriots: Drake Maye.

Cowboys: Dak Prescott.

Ravens: Lamar Jackson.

Steelers: Aaron Rodgers.

Colts: Daniel Jones.

Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence.

Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes.

Eagles: Jalen Hurts.

Lions: Jared Goff.

Saints: Tyler Shough.

Rams: Matthew Stafford.

What do all these QBs have in common?

None of them played in the preseason. As you look down the list you have a couple QBs coming off injury. The rest are just not exposing their QBs to injury.

One name I wasn’t expecting?

Tyler Shough.

Shouldn’t he being a newish QB get reps? I mean at least Maye can claim SB status. You Maye think that is irrelevant and that I Shough not throw stones Tyler’s way.

But shouldn’t a guy that hasn’t been labeled as a franchise get those valuable reps?

Or do you think in general sitting your starting QB to be the smart approach?

If you think your QB is good enough to make a run at the division or playoffs, it's okay to sit them. I'm with you, that Shough doesn't seem to be in that category right now, but if the Saints think he is, I get it.

Lol Shough is old for a year two guy..

Shows ya exactly how much preseason matters.

The games are an absolute joke where the guys playing for the last 6-7 roster spots face off with no game planning/scheme so the coaches can make an ever so slightly more educated guess on who would be best to keep.

Nothing more than a cash grab that exposes assets to depreciation.

Interesting one missing is Joe Burrow - or is he already on IR and this list only includes QBs available to play in pre-season?

Joe played in preseason. The list only includes the ones who didn’t. 😉👊

That's why I suggested he may be on IR - I was joking about him being risked in pre-season despite his recent injury history.
Oh gotya. Yeah the man definitely is a walking injury concern. Their Oline doesn’t ease that concern either. 😉
