Okay, so I'll do it. Toddster's contract expires after this season. Team is on pace to break all sorts of franchise offensive season records including total points, Bell on pace to have the best season of any Steeler RB ever, Ben's record-setting performances, and AB's stats.
Be kinda hard to let him walk.

P.S.
Mrs. Haley's contribution to the spectacular view of Pittsburgh should not enter in to your decision.

I would say yes, best offensive production in decades. Better than what was previously available, the no points offense. There is still room for improvement but it seems that once the buy in takes place production has gone up. No huddle is mostly gone coaches putting in personnel groups and plays much better point totals in most games.

Yes.

He has even got Ben taking fewer sacks.

I think if we make a run on the last stretch some team will offer him a HC job

Yes, better line would make it even better. better field position would also better, Haley has nothing to do with either.

I voted no but I agree with ******** the bed. If they don't win out, he should be gone. If they do win out, it is a tough call. I think they are winning in spite of him and/or Tomlin's play calling. With Ben, AB, Bell and others, it is tough not to be good. However, many times they have looked horrible this year even with the talent they have. This is three years in a row they have underperformed - to this point anyhow. In spurts you can call that on the players but when it is three years in a row, you have a coaching problem.

So far Toddster is doing much better in this poll than Cool Shades is in his.

Definitely, unless they get shut out the rest of the way, miss the playoffs in a steaming pile of shame and disgrace brought on by the inept offense, and **** can Tomlin in the meantime

Yes, he was brought in to keep Ben healthy, improve the running game, and score more points. I guess he is doing his job.

Having a crappy o-line, and a unhappy QB about losing his friend. I would say he deserves a contract.

The offense is sixth in the NFL with 27.8 points per game with Ben, Brown and Bell as three of the best offensive players in the NFL. They are arguably the most prolific offense in team history with an offensive line that's improving, a still good but aging tight end, and Wheaton/Bryant as the second option at receiver.

It also looks like the less control Ben has of the offense the better it gets. It might just be that playing the game is what Ben does best and he plays the game best when strategy is taken away from him and left in the hands of someone that has studied it more. They have done less no huddle this year than at any other time and it seems to be working better.

Yes he and Ben are on the same page, Ben ius not forcing as many throws and getting rid of the ball quicker, in the games like Balt (1st, Saints, Tampa) the OL did not not do a good enough job

best offense since I don't know when.
big ben to play 2 complete season(so far)
sacks down
short game works. long game works.
run games works pass game works

yeah I think the guy should be extended

Channeling Billy Martin....

I feel strongly both ways (about whether he should stay as OC).

Haley as head coach would be a disaster. I like Haley as OC but all you have to do is do a little research on Haley as HC to find out that's not his field. Especially with Ben here as QB. I don't think Haley's a great OC either but lately he's starting to get it together.

He didn't do so hot in KC but then the ownership isn't all that great either. Some people are simply better coordinators than head coaches. DLB for example.

Here's one from wiki..

"On September 2, 2011 Haley elected to play his starters against the Green Bay Packers in the final preseason game of the year. Tight end Tony Moeaki, a crucial piece of the team's 2011 offensive plans, injured his knee at the beginning of the second quarter and was ruled out for the remainder of the season. In a game played mostly by the Chiefs starters and the Packer's backups, the Chiefs went on to lose 20–19, leading many to question Haley's decision to use his best players late into the game."

He might have missed something on his spelling test in second grade too but I do not believe that would be of value in the decision at hand. It is possible to learn from mistakes and not make the same ones again. The things that need to be looked at are what he has done while here and what has happened since his arrival here.

It might be up to Ben and his new contract. Would he want to start over again and learn a new offense going into his last contract with the Steelers? I highly doubt it. He may be finally comfortable and would resist change again. He might not like Haley like he did Bruce, but they are producing and that's the bottom line.

A short term one. 2-3 years maybe. If we go down in flames the last few games and look like hammered hell,I'd send him packing with the rest of the group.
