He's earned it, so he will get an extension.

I voted no but I agree with ******** the bed. If they don't win out, he should be gone. If they do win out, it is a tough call. I think they are winning in spite of him and/or Tomlin's play calling. With Ben, AB, Bell and others, it is tough not to be good. However, many times they have looked horrible this year even with the talent they have. This is three years in a row they have underperformed - to this point anyhow. In spurts you can call that on the players but when it is three years in a row, you have a coaching problem.

ben started every game for the last year and a half. we're second in the league in ypg, 6th in scoring...
and you said no. really?
what's wrong with that?

Here's one from wiki..

"On September 2, 2011 Haley elected to play his starters against the Green Bay Packers in the final preseason game of the year. Tight end Tony Moeaki, a crucial piece of the team's 2011 offensive plans, injured his knee at the beginning of the second quarter and was ruled out for the remainder of the season. In a game played mostly by the Chiefs starters and the Packer's backups, the Chiefs went on to lose 20–19, leading many to question Haley's decision to use his best players late into the game."

Maybe the fact that the Chief's starters couldn't outscore the Packers backups had something to do with why they were still in the game.

They, apparently, weren't ready to face the season yet as a unit.

Have you watched us play this year? Yes, we have played extremely well at times. But, we have played just as bad at times. That is the problem. Sure you can put some blame on the players but we have been bad for three years now and have not lived up to our potential (even this year due to how bad we have played at times). I place that on the coaches. If our O was consistent, we would be the number 1 O in the league. We have that potential but I don't think we will ever see it under Haley. I hope I am wrong.

Right now we are the No.2 offense in the NFL

you just described every single team in every single sport since the beginning of time

Not really. If we would have not played on great quarter of O this past game, this board would be the exact opposite. The Ben haters would be calling for him to be cut too. And, we would be barely hanging on to a chance of making the playoffs. Our O has put up sick numbers in short periods of time but has absolutely sucked in others. We have played down to our opponents for 3 plus years. Not being prepared is on the coaches. If the O continues to improve. If they win out the season and don't lay another egg in any game, then, yes, Haley probably should be resigned. If not, and we don't make the playoffs, I look at all coaches and the GM.

Wasn't high on him then he got them on the same page and they are playing at a high level.

I think he earned a extension.
