Win opener?

I vote NO based upon what I have seen in preseason. It really pains me to vote that way as a life-long Stiller fan and especially since the opening game is at home against the Browns.

The Browns have a stout young Defense that will really cause us problems. I know the Browns are not the Eagles with a high tempo offense. However, based upon what I've seen so far this year I wonder whether we have a defense that can really stop a decent drive.

Johhny Manzel is a sideshow. They are starting Bryan Hoyer because he is the best right now. The Browns, like every other team this year is for real. Please don't fall prey to that easy schedule BS.

I sure hope this squad is ready to do battle.

We have a team that appears in disarray. Rookies that are either in key positions or will play a lot and make the rookie mistakes. A history of loosing games we should win. A history of not starting strong on the season. There is nothing in the preseason play that made one think that the steelers will have it ready to go by the first game. The veterans we have are really slowing down and are likely not here for much longer. The browns will be playing like this is the Superbowl, for them beating the steelers is a big deal. We have a short week, go to Baltimore and play on Thursday. The team has done poorly after similar schedule events in the past. I think part of it will be looking past the browns to Thursday.
