Or are we supposed to spread it around more?

Sorry , I think I'm missing something with e closure of the archer and tomlin threads.

No one wants to hear/talk about Tomlin 24\7. It's been the same non stop whining\bitching from the same people for years now. Most would rather talk about the players who actually play the game.

The Tomlin thread should have closed. It became a pointless call out thread.

Steelers win.. Where are the haters at? You guys don't know ****
Steelers lose to ****** team... Where are the Tomlin apologists now? You guys don't know ****.

Tomlin is going nowhere this year. The Steelers have won enough for him to get another year. But this is a huge offseason. The offense is showing signs of possibly becoming elite. The defense needs a complete overhaul.

They may have the DL solved for years to come. Heyward and Tuitt look like keepers. McCullers has shown lots of potential.

ILB had better be solved. Timmons is solid. Hopefully Shazier will be an impact player. If not, it seems they can get by with a combo of Williams and Spence.

Pass Rush has nothing. Jarvis may not be a bust yet, but you certainly can't assume he will be a solid starter either. Moats is an OK depth player. They absolutely must get a stud pass rusher this offseason. Trade up if you must. They need a 10 sack guy. You get a guy like that and maybe Jarvis comes alive on the other side.

I believe Tomlin has been mostly in charge (to blame) for the draft. Some think it's Colbert. Whoever is mostly responsible needs to go if they don't nail this next draft.

Did you guys know that General Mills is bringing back French Toast Crunch cereal? Shouldve never discontinued it to begin with, awesome stuff

Just watched a documentary on HBO and Tomlin came off as not very bright and calculating. Told his wife not to buy a big box TV from Circuit City last summer and he then was quoted as saying he stays away from criticism while he was listening to the radio as Madden skewered him after the Tampa Bay debacle.

Just stopped at Burger King and had the Yumbo with onion rings and a cherry vanilla coca cola. Very good.

For a thread that was getting activity all the time it seems senseless to close it, if one does not like the topic don't go there. Maybe a thread the balchinians that like his record so much could enjoy. We could list nothing but positives about Tomlin, that should fill a page.

It wasn't the topic, it was the most recent posts. Most of which had nothing to do with football at all.

**** yinz guys.
Bring back Bill Cowher!!!!

Soon Coolie will present us with a list of Approved Topics. My next few thread ideas:

Is there a team in the NFL that could conceivably beat us? I say no

Mike Mitchell: The NFL's best offseason acquisition, or just a great one?

Is Martavis already better than Hines?

The benefits of trailing by 3 scores instead of 2 in the fourth quarter

Why Jamain Stephens proves Tomlin's untouchable draft pedigree

I liked the long threads.

I've made my opinion of mitchell clear in a couple of different threads.....

and I would compare Martavis to Jerry Rice, not Ward....no one is greater than Hines.....

oh and I did not the thread first...super moderator did......

My approved topic list (other than the weekly game stuff):

1. Should Mike Tomlin get a contract extension this off-season and why?

2. Will Archer find a role with this team in 2015?

3. If Dick Lebeau retires who would you like as defensive coordinator?

4. Who is going to be playing LOLB for this team in 2015 and for how much?

5. Anything about the draft

6. Who gets most of the credit for the team's greatest offensive output in history? How long can it continue? What could derail it or make it better over the next three seasons?

7. Are the pass rush/sack production problems entirely because of OLB play or is there something else going on?

Would be nice if hate was illegal everywhere. It does seem a shame to waste it on a football coach.

Were Mike Tomlin's to coach say the Raiders, Jacksonville, Tampa or even Cleveland for crissakes producing the same results he has to date including the two SB appearances people would be naming their children and streets after him!
Unfortunately the Steelers have a long and proven success record and the fans take post season appearances for granted. Consecutive years near the bottom of the draft order has it's unintended consequences. I'm by no means a Tomlin hater or excuse maker, I think he has some shortcomings especially with game day preparation, clock management and talent assessment that cost the Steelers real estate and chances to succeed.
But the Steelers could be worse off IMHO, the Rooneys could have hired one (OR BOTH) of Buddy Ryans ******* offspring to be HC! Mother of God what a debacle that would be!

Hate? no way. Desire to see the team win and move forward towards the goal? Absolutely! It would be nice to see a cohesive unit that looks the same or close to it EACH game, not a roller coaster of way up and way down. A plan for each team accordingly that attacks weakness and plays to our strength. Our DL and pass rush is the weak link in the chain so we're going to need to score and score a lot. The Rams did it for a season and i feel the Steelers have the talent on offense to do it as well. The rules are slanted in our favor.

you're not supposed to tell that I've got Moderator powers.
didn't you see that in the Super Secret Mod Forum?!

Tomlin vs Ditka. Who wins the battle of the Mikes?

I don't bother with threads that don't interest me or get repetitive.

Makes much more sense to close a popular thread than just assume the people it annoys won't ******* visit it.

I will continue to talk about any football related thing here. That includes critising Mr Tomlin where I believe it to be warranted.
