So we hired a new offense assistant

ASU averaged 26.08 pts a game last year... hmm trying to remember what we did,
 
To my knowledge Lefty is still out there. Why the **** wouldn't you pay the extra and give him the job. The OCs are set. He ain't getting that now. With the added value that after 6 weeks when you realize Canada is still running the same junk and you are scoring 17 points a game you can give him the headset. They make good moves and then just mind numbing ones.
 
If Matt Canada is a shitshow next year and has to have a replacement midseason or postseason this guy moves up into Sullivan's spot while Sullivan takes Canada's spot. Not sure that is meaningful change but that is what this move feels like.
 
Herm edwards was at Arizona State. Probably recommended him to Tomlin.
 
I assumed he would be the next QB coach, but looks like the current one is staying. Great, now KP will be caught in the middle of that clusterfuck

As if he isn’t in one all ready !!!

Some here didn’t want O’Canada replaced because they said it would set the Fighting Pickettt back, well he is being set back by learning this **** offense as well.

I realize this offense could change for the better, there is nowhere to go but up.

Glen Thomas was hired as an Offensive Assistant Coach. He is higher on the ladder than and assistant. He works directly under Matt Canada, but it’s debatable as to his rank vs Sullivan.

Yesterday’s DK Sports has a very good segment on this. He also expounds on O’Canada and his hot seat.

Looking forward to seeing what Glenn Thomas adds to the offense and the coaching room. Seems to me Tomlin brought him in for a reason. With such a small coaching staff, he must go out of his way to screen and hand-pick coaching additions. Welcome to the 'Burgh, Coach Thomas.

However, he was the QB coach two of the four times that Ryan was selected to the Pro Bowl (yeah, I know). On the plus side, he kinda looks like Pittsburgh Dad (Maybe they made a mistake and thought that was who they were hiring).

Geez they keep hiring journeymen college guys. Bums! tomlin’s ego is sooo big sooo huge he refuses to hire anyone who might get any of the credit he craves. He wants all the credit! It’s a sickness with him. He craves all the credit!! He’s a credit craver!! We are one of the top franchises in all sports yet we keep settling for crap on the coaching staff and it shows in the win and loss column. When was the last time someone hired a Steeler coach as a head coach? Tomlin is one sick puppy and he’s bring the Steelers down to Detroit lions level.
 
Why can’t we hire better personel in the coaching department?

It’s a legitimate question, and I think many here have HIT the answer.
