So??????????

I think they already know he's coming back and this continues to drag out in the media and with us the loyal fans until the end of May early June.
Plays out nicely for Rogers who misses mini camp and OTAs. He knows exactly what he’s doing!
The kid Howard picks up valuable practice reps while Aaron plays on the SoCal beaches with his make believe wife.
He’ll be back for one last season and it will look a whole lot like last season.

It would be a shame for Rodgers to ruin another season now that the Ground Hog’s Day fog has finally lifted.

Art needs to grow a pair and just move on

I think the problem is that the rest of the roster is good enough that even a truly bad season from the QB wouldn't be enough to get past true cellar dwellers like the Dolphins. We might end up with the #9 overall pick and still be out of the QB stakes.
They can always package picks and trade up. Plenty of times have done it and will continue to.

Per Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, The Steelers have not received word from Rodgers on his future and there is no expectations on a final decision before the draft.

Dulac talked with Rooney a few weeks ago, and he said Rodgers told him he wouldn't take as long as last year, and Rooney said he expects to know before the draft.

Why are they still dealing with this tool?
Didn’t the Steelers also say that Rodgers decision wouldn’t impact their draft plans? What difference does it make, and what are they going to do, trade up for Mendoza? Any other QB will likely be available when they pick.

Agreed..
The only thing it might change is how quickly they pull a trigger to reach for a quarterback, not knowing what Rogers is going to do…
But the overall scheme of things I think it’s time to move on from Aaron Rodgers… an organization can’t continue to play Footsy with a 40 something-year-old quarterback with diminished skills..

They know Rodgers is likely a one year option. If they really like a QB in the draft, I think they’ll take him regardless of the round, including the first. I don’t think they’ll pass on a guy because Rodgers is on the roster.

Have to agree here, believing that Rodgers, Howard, Rudolph or any realistic QB in this draft is going to propel this team deep into the playoffs, suddenly becoming a contender again, is a bit far-fetched. Years of mediocrity has left this team more than one player away and will have them drafting 18-22 once again. They need big uglies that can exercise their will before the glamour boys. Well, unless McCarthy works some kind of magic.

They could, but other than Mendoza, which isn't a trade up possibility, what other QB in this draft is worth the risk of trading away their future?
This team has lots of holes and needs to get younger.

Nothing this year. Possibly the next. But yeah still an unknown. This year looks like the 3rd or 4th round is the value area.

Yes, we do have to upgrade our big uglies…
But my opinion, I believe the defensive lines more need than the offensive line…
We have to be able to stop the opposing teams run game.. and we have been well below the line in that regard the last several years, mainly because of the lack of a true nose tackle in our 34..
Stopping the opposing teams run game consistently generates three and outs, increases our offensive time of possession, and also increases turnovers and sacks by putting in a team in a position that they have to throw the football….
That is winning football, especially Steeler winning football..

I think Howard could be a total disaster. He was throwing to wide open guys who were clearly better than the guys they were playing against.

Jeremiah Smith
Emeka Egbuka
Carnell Tate

I'd take that as one of the better receiver rooms in the NFL.

Well at least he didn’t miss wide open guys.

Someone has to want to trade back though. No ones trading away from Manning or a real blue chip guy. You can still get someone like Nix but that's atypical.
👏

Never said it would impact their draft, it definitely shouldn't. It makes us look like a rinky dink organization. That's being talked about in the national media, we look like morons sitting around waiting on a 43 year old QB that can't move and is afraid of contact, that beat 1 playoff team.
If this guy is your starter this coming season, after watching him look like crap in the worse home playoff loss in team history, you should make his *** be here working with the new staff, new players, etc.
F'ing Joe Flacco was in Cleveland for voluntary stuff last year, so was Sam Darnold in Seattle.
This just tells me Rodgers doesn't care if this team gets better, he just wants his ego stroked and talked about in the media. Bringing Rodgers back does zero for us, so why are letting him string us along. We'd be killing the Browns if they were doing this.

close the door. roll with Howard. draft a QB late. move. the. pfuck. on.
Six different starting QB's in the last six seasons. The effing Browns don't have that many.
I still give it 70/30 that A-Aron is back.

Agreed. We won with Mason and Duck as our starting QBs one year. The talent on this roster is pretty good (compared to a number of other teams) provided we stay relatively healthy. If we crash at QB we'll still not be in the top 8 picks.

I sincerely hope Rodgers does not come back. Yank off the band-aid.

And a different starting QB to start the season each of the past 5 seasons.
