Has to be this teams mentality with Warren and Harris. I've been one of Najee's biggest supporters. Might be a good player but a poor fit. But you cannot use pedigree to decide touches. Has to be how the offense runs. Anything else breeds entitlement.

Yep. At best it should be 50/50. Najee is just too slow to run outside. Use him in the A & B gap and that’s all. I don’t see how we can pick up his 5th year option at this point.

Trent richardson in a steeler uniform. Glad steelernation is finally coming to their senses and taking the homer shades off.
He single handedly makes the offense worse when he's on the field instead of Warren.

So the problem is Bama backs? Do not draft a running back outta Tuscaloosa

All I know is I really enjoy Warren running. If we actually had a great run blocking line, he would be taking some big runs to the house.

With his lack of speed and ability to create his own yards, Najee is third-round talent drafted in the first. Those Bama teams were stacked at every position on offense making the RB quite possibly the player defenses had to worry about the least.

Speaking of Purdy, what a perfect QB for San Francisco's offense. They didn't need anything special in terms of athletic ability, arm strength, etc. They needed a QB who could make all the throws and operate within that system and Purdy has been terrific.

Both Warren and Najee would benefit greatly from a good line. Najee gets stacked right away.

Warren does seem to find a hole more intuitively.
His 4th quarter today was impressive. I also read that Warren is Fast Willie Parker’s cousin

The transition between big schools and the nfl is speed and pretty much an even playing field.

Najee for exampe is an athletic freak and is going to get recruited by a power 5 school. However nfl scouts do know there are diamonds in the rough. Purdy is one who you can create a system around just the same. Purdy is protected by great coaching.

Najee would make magic happen if he had similar coaching just because his ceiling and background in college is higher

Najee needs to stay north/south always.

Some of y'all really are doing too much in trying to make Warren the Brock Purdy of RBs.
The stats don't support it. The link I'm providing doesn't include today's game. However, today's game isn't going to move the needle much either.
Has Najee disappointed? Hell yeah! Has Warren outperformed him? Hell No! But, Warren does occasionally rip off a nice long run that makes you forget that Najee has been grinding away.

**** play caller. Can’t use the talent he has, **** line that is better than it shows, but again OC can’t do ****.

NH is another wasted talent under the MT and squad staff. So will 14.

Yeah. i think Warren is a fine back, butI think people also see too much of backup fools gold when they see him as an answer to the running game… its a problem with predictable and telegraphed plays with substandard blocking… put Warren in Harris’s spot and he’d have the same issues…

You can't be patient when the oline is stalemate at best. He is patient. Warren shoots out of a cannon.

Najee ran hard and gained something from nothing on most of his carries in this game and, yes, he did wear the D down some. Warren ran late in the game and got a few creases to get reasonable runs. Both are good in the passing game but Warren does have that initial quick burst Najee doesn't. Najee is the power back. I have a feeling you will continue to see Najee early in games to be the battering ram against opposing D's. I remember one play yesterday where the LB was in the backfield hitting Najee right when he got the ball and he still gained a yard. I don't think Warren does that. I think it would have been a 2 or 3 yard loss. This OL is just terrible as is the play calling. Teams know 90% of the times we are going to run.

The 2021 draft is turning into a dud. Harris over Etienne, Freiermuth over Humphrey, Kendrick Green over Quinn Meinerz. Buddy Johnson? Moving up for Loudermilk?

Yikes.

Interesting (not in a good way), going into the bye, with 5 games under their belts, the Steelers have ZERO rushing TDs on the year. None for Najee. None for Warren. None for KP8. NONE. ZERO. The PITTSBURGH FREAKING STEELERS have zero rushing tds after 1/3 of the season has been played!:mad::mad::mad:
