Spence Injury

Well they weren't actually at the game. They called it via the local feeds and overdubbed the audio. It was like me and my buddy watching the PVR without all my swearing.

That **** was horrible! We finally get a home game and they do it from the network. Had to listen to Carl banks last game then this one was even worse. I wouldn't wish that to even a ravens fan like edreed4pres.
I was really hoping for some local guys to call it and maybe get some insight.
All I got was two more guys who didn't know anything about the steelers Again!
At a freakin home game!!!!

Hope spence gets better!

Any current word on Mr. Spence?

Will not play Thursday. Hopes to play against the Browns.

Or, he no longer has the personnel in the secondary to make adjustments. Back in the day when Ike Taylor could actually shadow receivers we could occasionally play press coverage if needed.

...and we pick a safety from the Panthers that comes up with a comment like this.

." but I don't look at (cornerback) Ike (Taylor's) side because I know he's got that under control.”

scarin' me I'll tell ya

Steelers' Spence downplays knee injury

PITTSBURGH -- Sean Spence said the injury he sustained in the Steelers' 31-21 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles is only a minor setback and that he hopes to be ready for the start of the regular season.

Spence sprained the post collateral ligament (PCL) in his right knee last Thursday night and the injury will prevent the third-year man from playing in the Steelers' final preseason game.

But Spence said he will sit out the Steelers' game Thursday night against the visiting Carolina Panthers only as a precaution.

"It's not a very serious injury. I should be good," Spence said. "I'm going to sit out this week and try to give it a go next week."
