Someone asked back on the first page, "What is the adjustment?" The adjustment would be for at least one player to get off of a block and make a tackle. There's nothing a coach can do when the podcaster's most used line is "Watt dominated again by the {insert name or position}"

Can we just go on record now that if the Steelers did run the table sending Aaron Rodgers out on top and enthroning MT as the greatest HC and leader of men ever that the NFLWWE is RIGGED?
I wouldn't be able to buy that as legit in any way if I saw it with my own 2 eyes.

Problem is the HC is responsible to put the players on the field that can get off blocks.

He is responsible for building the roster.

He is responsible for the schematic approaches.

He is responsible for moving players around.

He is responsible for coaching players up.

He is responsible for holding players accountable. (new articles are out that say this is a problem for him).

He is responsible to provide OCs and DCs that are X and O capable.

There is an argument to be made that he is failing in every category.

So one players play during one game outcome is minimal to me evaluating the whole situation.

Late great Ozzy sung about going through changes. For the Steelers to achieve anything moving forward they will need to follow suit.

Oh 100%. There's no selling me that scenario as legit.

Honestly, it's been slanted heavily for many years. I could go on a tangent all day about it,but it'snot worth the energy over something i can't change. You're right about the WWE comparison.

When I talk to my mother on the phone and it reaches sports and the NFL. She's told me for years she thought it was rigged nonsense.
And she's a casual fan who really only watches the Steelers mostly,but she knows bullshit when she sees it.
She'd rather watching hockey and the Penguins...lol

To your point, I think even a casual observer can look at the game today and tell immediately it's not the same game as the 1970s or the 1980s. By comparison, the games back then were more like a death struggle with quarterbacks taking kill shots.

Like Turkey Jones on Bradshaw, LT on Theismann, or Jim Burt or Leonard Marshall on Joe Montana.

OT, I remember when Tiger Woods limped to his last and very surprising masters win in 2019, it was readily apparent that it was more about what the other players did and didn't do than anything he did. That made me really, really suspicious.

Over the past 8 drafts (including this year, the Steelers have drafted 2 Pro Bowlers.

Diontae Johnson made the Pro Bowl as an alternate for the 2021-22 season.

Najee Harris made the Pro Bowl as an alternate for the 2021-22 season.

So in reality, the Steelers haven't drafted and developed a player who straight up made the Pro Bowl since 2017.

ONE era of clarity on the fix was the way they used the TV Time Out guy, he was the guy with the one orange sleeve. When he gave the signal, it was a TV time out. It was odd how that favored some teams and not others.

The cheatriots were so favored it was abundantly clear and the shield had to find a better way of manipulation. Thus the “what constitutes a catch” came into play.

Big Gambling has as much to do with the fix as anything.

All this morphed in to what you are seeing today, ONLY the ignorant can’t see it.

If I am Rooney at the end of the season, assuming things don’t go well the last 5 games and in a possible playoff game, I tell Mike he can stay, But, all coordinators and most position coaches will be replaced, by Rooney and Omar not Mike. He has to give his coordinators full control. If he agrees he gets another chance if not he has the option of retiring or letting us trade him.

One question, where are you getting 4 wins? He has double that.

He means the Steelers have had 4 seasons out of 19 seasons where they have won playoff games.
Obviously in 2008 ( Cowhers players) he won 3 games, 2010 ( Cowher’s players) he won 2 playoff games,
2016,won 2 games ,sprinkled in there the one playoff win in 2015 where Cincinnati imploded,and of course as we ALL know there has been nothing since 2016.

Where did I say "reward" him with another season? He only has one left on the contract that isn't a team option as Art was smarter than many give him credit for. If he doesn't win and get a playoff win I don't fire him but I make him an offer he realistically won't accept. You may want to reread what I wrote and think about it differently. You are correct in that I do not want him "fired".

Well, if TJ Watt, who we all believe to be the best defender the Steelers have, can't get off the block, no amount putting players into the game is going to help. I'm not absolving Tomlin, I'm just saying when the players you put on the field are being dominated, there is no amount of coaching up, scheming, moving players, etc that will fix the problem. I'm also not singling Watt out as if her were the only getting his azz whopped, he is just the most noticeable.

Sorry SteelerInLebanon, you are treating the Tomlin as if he is the boss. He is NOT the boss and the owner will do as he thinks (or should do what he thinks is best).

Options if going to present to the Tomlin

1) Find a trading partner
2) retire on mutual terms (possible contract payout negotiate)
3) YOU ARE FIRED

No negotiations, no you must allow who we bring in to do their jobs, we want complete change.

Why would you replace everyone and NOT the HC only sends a message of we want you and your structural beliefs.

I can’t speak for Art 2 himself, but from the noise of other owners……….. they don’t want the Tomlin retained.

It is basically what they did to Noll. Forced changes on him he didn't want so he retired. Why not use the same tactic with Tomlin. Or maybe he requests a trade. Schefter has gone on record saying the noise in the building is quiet, only the outside wants him gone for what it is worth.
