Some stats not shown

1) players not believing in the game plan
2) players executing the game plan knowing it isn’t working
3) Conservative offense = 0
4) open up offense = 14

Another one

1) Why was Sutton (missing assignments and out of position) on the field and not making plays…..?

2). Why wasn’t Beanie Bishop (love saying his name) on the field and making plays as he has proven to be able to do ???

This is the weakest excuse EVER...LOL..like I said in the other thread I would never question Najee's on field toughness, but this is pathetic. If true what does it say about the culture, and the man who leads that culture? It says you all are mentally weak. That's what it SCREAMS.

TJ Watt didn't appear in the box score. No tackles, no QB hits, nothing. How is that possible?

Too bad they don't keep tackling the wrong guy stats.

The same for the Bengals game. 2 games in a row with no stats??? What happened to the 3 headed OLB monster with Watt, Highsmith and Herbig making big plays all over the place? They just disappeared over the last month or so.

Because he has the better perceived pedigree, and history with a failing Defensive game plan.

Because he was a UDFA, and as such will only be used if he can not be replaced with a player that was actually drafted. Besides he has too many INT’s this year and must not be allowed to continuously show up pedigreed players.

Because that is what he was told to do.
 
So again, we have a run stuffing huge NT on the PS... as we are wont to do... but we dont use him for this game...
philisophically, when Tomlin took over, the NT became a regular DT so he can run his 2 DT, 2 OLB set and basically be in a lightweight 4-3... its why we get crushed in the run game too often

Tge Rats are a running team..that is 100% the basis of their O... just use a true NT to eat up the middle...


Thats just a Tomlin ego thing and has been since he took over, same with refusing to use a FB, or not wanting to run true TE passing packages, or refusing to use slants, timing routes, or deep crosses...

Its too many things that have carried on for too long through too many staff and player changes to be anything but him

Sutton has been awful no idea how he is on the field. Bishop makes mistakes, but has also made plays. Trice being scratched after being forced to cover the best WR in the league is sadly amusing and just shows how clueless the staff is. Normally I would say there is not way Watt was told just go after Henry w/ reckless abandon, but both he and Highsmith did it over and over. I am sure they did not mess up that many times. Another stat that doesnt show up is "stand around and watch other guys tackle." We did not fly to the ball at all guys were allergic to contact. Hell Queen didnt even 2 hand touch a guy on the ground. There was basically - gang tackling. I do feel bad for the players I feel like they knew they had 0 shot going into the game.
 
Re Bishop vs Sutton and Jackson vs Trice...

In both cases, the playmaking but inexperienced guy was benched in favor of a vet who simply does what he is told, even if it means they get physically or schematically beaten...

Tomlins attitudes on players are very much like Tim Lewis... guys like Dewayne Washington and Bren Alexander who were always in the right place, but rarely made a play on the ball were more valuable to him than impact guys....

Mincah this year really reminded me of Alexander, (only much faster and more athletic... ) but just a guy to get there and clean up with a tackle after the play.. never impacting tthe play..

I agree with all of this. But with the Queen thing, I GET what he was trying to do, it just didn't look good. He didn't touch him down, and the TE was dumb and didn't just stay down. He got up and Queen went for the ball. It was a desperation move to try and create a turnover. It just looked REALLY bad in the moment. Especially after the way Queen got ran over and blown up all game long.

I strongly recommend listening to DK Sorts Daily Shot today. You will gain some big insight to just how bad this HC really is. Add in Rooney as to why he isn’t fixing anything. DK even gives examples. I don’t have link, but go to YouTube and search DK sports and you’ll find it..

Anyone see the play where both Jones and Moore pulled and damn near collide with each other? How I wish they would have just to expose the train wreck that the team turned into.

Yep, Harbaugh made Tomlin look like an idiot there. Usually Watt goes for the QB on those plays no matter what, this game it was obvious Watt was supposed to go for the RB because he never once looked at the QB, Baltimore just had Lamar keep the ball on the majority of those early on and we had no one spying Lamar. If Watt is going to hit the RB, then why not have Minkah in the box spying Lamar, Baltimore was missing their top WR, no point having Minkah playing centerfield, well I guess we didn't give up any bombs. :mad:
