Steeler Players Liking Post of Pickett Getting Crushed

"Linebacker Marcus Allen, wide receiver Diontae Johnson and even offensive lineman Chuks Okorafor were among the many that “liked” the post."

Yeah pick another post to like not one where your QB is getting crushed. I doubt it was anything directed towards Pickett, just piss pour timing / decision making.

This is truly disturbing. KP is the future of the team (at least if he can prove it over the next few years). Tomlin seriously needs to address this to the extent of sitting some of these guys. This is just unacceptable no matter how you try to spin it.

Do you remember when AB was texting and videoing Big Ben trying to get the team fired up while Big Ben was in the locker room letting loose to try to inspire his team?

That was the start of it for Tomlin. If that would have been a Belichek coached team he would have sat AB down and told him to stop it, your not playing the next game etc.

I need not remind you what went on after that.

Tomlin needs to call in all of the players who "liked" KP getting sacked by Hargrove. Tell them they are suspended UNLESS they publicly apologize to KP and promise not to do it again.

If these guys have enough time to "like" photos then they obviously aren't spending enough time studying film to see how this team can improve.

Flores needs to be made Head Coach and crack the whip.

I don't buy any excuse other than it was directed toward Pickett. Players can not be that dumb to like a post with your qb getting smashed w/o it meaning anything. Johnson has already had beef with mitch and now likes a post with pickett being sacked. I have defended DJ but he is definitely becoming a problem

Oh I have listened to many of them, they can be that dumb. An elite level of dumb.

Is it possible Kenny is not well-liked by other players on the team? Maybe he's a prick.
His own words" I'm not a nice guy" I think that was pointing out the difference between him and Mitch as far as approach though. He did say it in a PC.

three ******* who either need to be traded (DJ and Chuks) or released (Allen).

I'm not sure what kenny meant with the playbook comments. Doesn't seem to be an issue with that as much as just the plays in general. Maybe people are screwing around in practice or film study. I don't really have an issue with what Kenny said.

I think some was directed at DJ. On the pass to the end zone DJ cut off the route and Pickett threw to the back of the endzone. You could see Pickett motioning to DJ as if he ran the wrong route. Not sure but I think it is a great sign that a rookie QB is already calling out the team for not doing their part to succeed. What’s worse is our coaching staff feels our level of attention to detail and preparation is the standard.

If true, and intended as a jab to Kenny..I would expect team leaders to address this internally.

Also if not resolved to the satisfaction of the team leaders. I would expect the Steelers to deal or release the three..

Whatever it is liking that pic is not just an attack on your QB, your teammate, it's also an insult to the uniform you wear. Imagine if this happened in the 70s, Green or Lambert would have whooped these punks *****

Sometimes that "elite" is directly correspondent to their on field play.

Thes athletes can be dumber than dumb.

Takes after BEN so it must be BEN's fault. :fencing:

I have absolutely zero issue with Kenny making the comments he did.
Let me refresh what he said.
“We all have to study more. Spend more time studying the playbook. Guys need to know what they’re doing”.
“We can’t keep doing the same things over and over and expect different results. That’s insanity”.
Now gentlemen, I don’t think any of you could disagree with what the rookie said.
Do I have a problem with a rookie making those statements? Hell no!
They put the ball in his hands, have him throwing 35-40 times a game, took 6 ******* sacks and 11 hits against the Eagles, so yeah, he has every right.
Think about that for a minute. Kenny got hit 18 times in Philly and a few were brutal hits.
There asking him to grow into this very quickly so he has every right to voice his concerns.
As for the stupid likes of Hargraves tweet! Sometimes players don’t think and do stupid ****. Don’t think it had anything to do with Kenny but it is a bad look.
This to me is the culture Tomlin has developed and nurtured here for years. Players don’t even give it a thought.Tomlin wants to be their friend and be one of the boys so these guys have no issue doing something this insensitive.
