I like speed as much as the next guy but skills are so much more important. The best Wr in the game currently not one burner. Chase is the only top 5 guy sub 4.4.As I've stated since watching him first step on the field and blossom to WR1 at Bama - he's a Steeler. Combo of Ward & Deebo Samuels but faster.
People talking about his top end speed. Poppy ****. He just gets open. Not like AB or DJ but knows how to get open and catch everything in his zip code.
I'll be buying his jersey fo' sho'!!!
And i see Bernard not being a F tard like lemon is.This guy was a solid , solid pick. I’d choose to have him over Lemon. Because I see Bernard being able to play tall three Wr positions on the field more effectively.
I like the pick but was a bit surprised they had to give up their 4th rounder to move up 6 spots. They could have done that in the 1st.
Just so happens Bernard’s athletic score was over 9. So as 40 doesn’t tell the whole story his RAS shows how impressive his athleticism is.people get overly obsessed with 40 times... yeah you need a guy or two on the team that back defenses off, but every wr doesn't need to be lightning quick. The difference between a 4.3 and 4.6 is two feet per second in a straight line... that kind of separation can be equaled or surpassed with quick cuts and precise routes.. the best wrs in nfl history have rarely been burners
Im fine with Germy using his athleticism to go viral on the NFLJust so happens Bernard’s athletic score was over 9. So as 40 doesn’t tell the whole story his RAS shows how impressive his athleticism is.
Go back to the draft day threads. We've already given Max the "Anchor" two options at a nickname...They may have been able to move back in the first to acquire capital to get Bernard. Max Iheanachor was slated as a mid second guy by the folks at Draftbuzz. Anyone think want to wager that Max’s nickname somehow has anchor associated with it? On an unrelated note, I would’ve liked to see them use some draft capital to move back into the second to acquire Anthony Hill Jr. I think off-ball linebacker needs a jolt. There were a few spots where teams were overpaying when comparing picks with the projections of the so-called experts. So, yeah, just a thought.
