Steelers add a new secret weapon

I’m guessing this guy can cover opponents receivers, rush the passer and block for the running game…and maybe not just hand the other team TDs when returning kickoffs

That would be awesome!

He can also serve as head coach, defensive coordinator and offensive line coach. The dude is amazing and we're lucky to have landed him.

Roman Wilson might be moving soon...
Either on to the practice squad....or his lifes work...

Or...they will pull a typical Steeler very questionable move and Scotty Miller will show up on the transaction report soon...I hope not.

That would be a shame

He’s been much more productive this season than last 🤣

If only we had a decent receiver like George right now 😎

Dude looked like he racked up more PI yards in one game than all of the Steelers receivers not named DK have gained through 2.

Dropsie Metcalf not looking so elite
Why ain’t he getting shredded???

The most insane thing about Wilson is he is out of the past 3 3rd round draft picks he is the only one to record positive scrimmage yards in 2025.
Not defending him, everyone on this offense deserves blame outside Warren and Rodgers. They all suck.
Just like last season when Warren and Pickens were the only guys to show up most weeks.

Fiji you are 200% spot on
I have been saying it all off season.
You do not improve by trading you're #1 offensive weapon over the past 3 seasons. A guy who outplayed the guy you just paid 150 million. With Kenny and Fields at QB!!
Total incompetence and arrogance by the front office. They are either that stupid or just don't care about winning. Reminds me of when they were convinced Bell and Brown could be replaced by JuJu and Connor. How anyone not see that disaster in the making? Or this one.

Since 2022 every offensive player drafted not named Pickens has a combined 1530 yards from scrimmage.
Austin, Heyward, Washington, Wilson, Johnson.
1530/53 games = 28yards from scrimmage per game/5= 5.7 yds per player per game average over the past 3+ seasons

I don't blame Johnson he just got here and has not gotten a chance due to Mike's infatuation with "Kenny No Gain o well"

Look outside these guys and it doesn't get better.

The 150 million dollar man DK ranks

69th in receptions
49th in yards

12 million dollar TE Pat Friermuth single handedly dropped us out of playoff contention against the Bengals in 2024.
He has nearly a dozen games in his career that we're lost in part to late drops.
Guy gets so much love and $ from Steelernation how does he get a pass and DJ gets eternal fire?
Guy has some of the worst hands in the league especially in the biggest moments. mediocre production and drops do not mix.

Outplayed? Their production from last year was very similar. One comes without behavioral issues to boot. I will let you carry on with your rant..

I know they are comparable, looking at what they get/got paid they shouldn't be.
You are right, was a rant, unfortunately a statistically backed rant.

I am pretty sure this was covered already. One receiver was in the league longer so he will cost more. The other was on a rookie contract which they had enough of his act. Nothing more or less than that. Stats don’t always paint the same picture. In this case it is just as described.

Bottom line
Overpaid and underperforming

WRs cost money just the way it is. Underperforming ..

  • Receptions: 55-70
  • Yards: 900-1,100
  • TDs: 6-

He is projecting right now. I imagine as the offensive gets more comfy those figures go up.

It has only been two games let us see how it transpires..

7 catches on 13 targets for 103 as basically the only consistent receiver option isn’t great…couldn’t find a drops stat line on him but pretty sure I’ve seen 3 or 4 already this year.

Not a stellar start by any means

If only we had a coach that could reach players, discipline players and help them play to their potential we’d still have the more talented receiver on our roster…alas this is not the case as our coach doesn’t coach, discipline or help players reach their potential. Instead we get guys that see the **** culture, soak it up and then run amuck so they must be jettisoned as the only option due to the massive coaching void.

In fairness he hasn't really underperformed. His numbers and drops look pretty consistent and project closely to his career numbers through two games.
I guess we can agree to disagree on those numbers being worth top 3 WR $$

Now this has to be sarcasm and 1/2 full glass............................................. slap my head silly !!!

Maybe he at least knows the rules when receiving a kickoff. Could he be our next return man?

Would be nice if we actually went after a legit WR2 and not the same type WRs we already have.

Article says he hasn't played any STs or returned kicks, but was brought in to contribute at WR.
